Has anybody done the BB engine swap themselves? I have 113K on my engine and it seems that overall the swap is just cheaper anyway. I haven't seen much detail on engine swaps, unless i have been searching in the wrong places.

Unless they have already been answered, here are the questions:

Does the engine just drop right in, or do I have to do any radical modifications to the bay, or any mods?

Do I need to buy more stuff, AKA ecu, motor mounts, fuel line stuff?

How much WHP am i looking at?

ARE THEY RELIABLE?!?!?! or will i have to spend another grand fixing it in a month?

If anybody knows these things, the help is greatly appreciated, or you could just get pissed off and point my blind ass to the thread that already answers all my questions. Either one helps. Thanks.

you need to go to sr20deforum.com and search the turbo section. you should also hit se-r.net and search there. there are people who have done it here too, but it may not be just the bbdet. the swap is as basic as it gets. there are some stuff you need to watch out for, but searching will find you your answers. good luck.
