All this talk of over 100K made me question what most g20.net members are at in their G20s... so here is the poll accordingly!:nerd:

I guess I'm one of the lower mileage ones out there..

93.5 with 61K miles (2nd local owner - 1st owner took great car of the car!! -- fantastic care actually so I'm pretty happy)

I get the feeling I'll get to over 100K soon enough - LOL:cheeky:

I also predict that that the highest percentage will be folks in the 100K-149K range (at least for p10 owners anyway);)

In January 2002 I sold my '92 G20 that had 158,000 miles on it and bought a '96 with 57,000. Since then I've put over 12,000 miles on it. Not too bad for 4 month's work.

I have a fairly long commute, but not too bad. Most of the miles come on the weekends, I don't stay around, I go places. It sucks when I have to do an oil change every 3 weeks.

Chris
Sep 18, 02, 09:51 AM
some people have huge commutes...

I know someone that used to drive 77 miles one way to work ...so at 150 miles per day to-from work, it added up to 750 miles a week... monthly oil changes and about 40K per year because of additional weekend driving etc.

..and that is mild compared to some sales people who drive everywhere and can put on 6K per month on a car!

..Heck, I put on 12K on my G20 in 3 weeks -- hehe

Mine has a busted odo, but the last CF reading said ~235k, so I am guessing ~250k miles. I need to start tearing down the engine, it seems to be in good shape, but who knows? :geek:

My D16 is also at 180k miles; I wonder if our VQ35 will be as good as the SR at 250k?

65K on my 2002

My previous '96 SE-R had a 151K on it when I bought it, and 167k a 1.5 years later...

Honestly, it ran better and stronger than my 2002 G20. I honestly believe the increased emissions stuff is to blame...

I think the 'close-coupled' catalytic converter is one of the main stifling elements. I know it was done to make the converter more efficient...but I think it was also done to prevent modifications to the factory exhaust...

yeah.. that was the one nice thing about my former SRT4... even though it was a 2004 MY, the cat could disappear and NOT CEL with a Stage 1 ECU from the factory... :D ...and of course it ran MUCH better that way :)

..and YES, I passed our emissions test (obd2 plug in test only looking for codes and no sniff test) without a cat... lol

oh I was extremely temped by a very nice one but probably not this go-around

..our ideal next g20 is a 93 w/out sunroof, no airbags and 5speed WHITE exterior color (w/other colors considered of course as long as its not beat to hell and super badly faded)

239, 09x here today, 230,something when I picked it up last summer. Also, the speedo has a serious "tick" to it where it drops about 5-10 mph about 20 times per mile. That would seem to mean it's also not reading miles properly too?? And, I run the living crap out of this thing. Truly wonderful engines.
