I know a guy that has a silvia conversion and is going to be upgrading his turbo. He has a disco potato turbo. T28/t3.
"Im selling my turbo now since im getting the sc61 instead. It has less than 100 miles on it and is in brand new condition. I payed $750 for it but I will take $550.00 for it. I didnt get a wastegate bracket with it but there is a custom made one on it that works just fine or you can buy one for like 5 bucks. The wastegate spring is set for 7.5psi of boost. I also have a sr20det custom made exhaust manifold that should work with sr20de's and I think will fit a eclipse but im not 100% sure if the manifold stud pattern is the same. It looks the same to me but I havent tried to put the manifold on my eclipse. If you have a eclipse and want me to see if it fits I will put it on my car to check. I will sell the manifold for $200.00 and it also has less than 100 miles on it."

My question is. What all would I need for this to work on my car? What would I need to have custom made or done to the turbo, or stuff to my engine in order for it to bolt up and work?
I was thinking about getting a GTiR turbo setup before. But this came along and i'm thinking of getting this, but still getting a GTiR turbo setup, and just swapping the turbos. Would the hybrid bolt up onto the GTiR exhaust manifold?
Anyone know of anything else I'd need?
An anything about the turbo itself. Like what is the max power it could make. An what is the max is could flow, as well as boost it could make? I am only looking to boost 10lbs daily. An maybe 12lbs when I run at the track. Tha's all.

i remember reading about the disco potato last year in one of those primedia mags (either superstreet, importtuner, or scc... i don*t remember which) i*d say go to their websites and do a search one of them is bound to have the article online :) hope that helps!

Sport Compact Car, actually. Their Project Silvia runs it and they have a lot of info on the original B15 Sentra that it was designed on. I'll try to dig up the old issues when I get back home.

Id make very sure that it is the DPT, or GT28RS. There are very few of them in existence and that is one hell of a low price. I have pictures of a real one if you want to compare ;)

Yes I'd like a picture of one if you can. Or any helpful tips to know when I'm looking at it to know that it is an actual DPT. The guy selling it I'm friends with. I'll ask him where he got it from to find out the source to maybe help track down if the place he got it, sells them or makes them.

I'll also see if there is any kind of a warranty on it from the place he got it. Since he only drove his car for about 2-4 days then he parked it for winter. I still should be in good shape. I just want to make sure if it puts out on me soon after I buy it. That I got my butt covered so I don't have to find another turbo.

An I did a search on the SR20Forum.com for it. Came up with info here and there. But no info that I found helped me with knowing what I need for it to work on my car. A lot of people on there own sentras. An there is a slight difference in clearance issues between the P10 and the B13, B14's right?

I was hoping that someone on here might have a disco potato setup on their G. An would be able to help me out with some of the questions directly, instead of reading old posts.:)

There should be a little metal 'plaque' on the center section with the following part number on it:

739548-5001

If it has that, it's a bonafide DPT. And for $550 thats an ultimate steal. I doubt you could find one for less than $1100-1200 new, and I think JWT sells them for more like $1800.
