I"m talking about acceleration, handling everything. I'm new to the G20 scene (my first car got it this summer) and I'm just curious as to what I'm missing by picking it over a civic.

you may miss a little in the excelleration, but i can't think of anything else you'd miss out on. plus i'm talking from a standstill anyway. once you are moving you'll blow the Civic away unless it has more than stock power.

my car is a 96 auto and i run like 18.6 in the 1/4 mile with little more than an intake. my buddy has a 96 civic ex SOHC VTEC 5 speed and he can't break 17.8 with headers, intake, and a cat-back. so i'm thinking if i had a 5 speed i'd take him easily. not to mention he can run straight lines but when it comes to turns that car just slides everywhere.

Having worked at a Honda dealership and owning a G20, I believe that the G is better in about every category of perfromance. Handling is light-years ahead, especially if you have an LSD. The motor has more power and more torque, and the car is not that much heavier. A G20 should out-accelerate a Civic EX. The only comparative advantage the Honda has is aftermarket support. Still, there is a lot of potential with a G.

Of course, this is a G20 forum, so we're all a little biased.

If he tries to race you let him win or he will rearend you. He is easily identified by loud downshifting, speeding for a lil then slowing next to you with a hugh grin on his face. The car has many decals and is insainly loud. (wait that describes about every accord in Tucson stay away from them all.)
