i put a keyless entry system on my car a little while back. its starting to irritate me because when i push a button on my remote, sometimes it doesnt work, maybe because im to far. where do ya'll put your antenna wire that is comming out of the brain unit?? thanks......

is it ok to splice a wire into the antenna wire to make it longer or would this make the signal weaker??

My antenna runs up the inside of the steering column and I get reception from around 100 feet away.

My antenna was installed at the base of my front windshield, giving me great reception. I can start my car from inside a mall.:cheeky:

You want to get it as high up as you can and keep it away from metal. If you can fish it through to along the bottom of the windshield you will probably have better luck.

I didn't install mine myself, but it's not going to hurt to put the antenna in plain view ie, front or rear windshield, for better reception. I'm luvin this remote start thing.:cheeky:

Mine is at the base of my windshield on the passenger side. I get range about a 1/4 mile away :p

I bought a black widow. The install wasn't HARD, it was just terribly time consuming.
