I need to change axles on my 94 G20 with ABS. The parts store wanted me to confirm whether I have a locking diff or not. How can I tell or does anyone know the answer.

The car
94 Pearl White G20 (Not the G20t)
Has ABS; Manual Trans; 84,000 miles;
Clean; Tan Leather

On the tranny code if the last digit is A it's an open diff, if it's V it has the vlsd. If you have a regular G20 (and not a G20t) it's most likely the open diff.

P.S. It's been discussed many times before, so a search would have brought up the answer.

Thanks for the advice. I guess the term that had be guessing was "locking Differential"

" LSD or No LSD " that question I guess I could have answered since I don't have a G20T.

Thanks anyway....PEACE

please what ever you do try to get OEM nissan or infinity axles!!!

reman axles for the parts store cause nothing but problems. i had a reman axle snap right where the input shaft entered the tranny, this was a total PITA to fix!!!! this was a car with little to no performance mods.

i am not the only one to have this happen. it is VERY common with reman axles for the SR20. you would be better off trying to find a set at a junk yard! and saving yourself a very large amount of work.

have a good one
