So yeah last June I switched all the valve cover gasket stuff out for new ones. A few oil changes later I went to go change my oil in December and decided..what the heck lemme pull out my plugs and see how their doin. Pulled number 1 out and the whole thing was covered in oil. Looked into the number 1 hole and it was full of oil. So I'm thinking I need to change my gaskets again..kinda soon I would think. So we sucked the oil outta number one hole and then I went about my own business. Well today I went to go change my oil again and the oil wasn't there, so i'm thinking hmmmmmm. We'll my friend Josh was there and we thought it'd be a good idea to change the spark plugs as well. Pulled out spark plug number 1. COVERED in oil! 2 was ok and 3 was ok and pulled out number 4. COVERED in oil! I'm thinking my gaskets need to be changed and my fuel injectors as well. I don't have any blue smoke comin out my baby's tail, and I don't smell anything so I highly doubt I'm burning oil. You think I'm right or could I be overlooking something?

Not to sound stupid but are you sure you installed the gaskets properly so that oil couldn't leak into where the plugs are? Did you torque the plugs properly? Check the threads to make sure you didn't cross thread them in. Same thing happened to me but replacing the gasket around the plugs has worked awesome.

I replaced those with two other well knowledgable car guys and I let them check over everything before we put the valve cover back on, but you never know. There are always screw ups.

I too, noticed oil on my plug boots when I recently changed them during my tuned-up. Yeah, it drew my concern. Oil was on my 1st and 2nd spark plug wire boot. I continued to remove my old stock plug wires and replaced them with a new set of NGK wires. I would later read this post and see that you were having this trouble. Today I washed my car and checked my plugs and their was no oil on either plug 1 or plug 2. Maybe my old valve cover spark plug gaskert seals had gone bad.:cheeky:
