I just wanted to know if anyone was interested in making state chapters available as a seperate partitions on this site.
IE...... Arizona Chapter
California and so on.........
For upcoming meetings or cruises......

thats how i feel so thats why i took down EEG's site... even tho i still have everyone that wanted to be on it... its just gonna take place here if we need anything... i need to be blame for taking away g20.net members... so i took down the site... i still have the decals on my g20 and i still honor them but... thats all:nervous:

It was something I was thinking about. More like making new forum sections for the different areas that have alot of people. But I dunno, it could also cause people to segregate and miss out on valuable info.

No, I just wanted there to be an announcement or meetings setup by state so that it is easy to see an upcoming event. IE..... I just missed out on a meet here in Phx AZ cause I didnt see it in time. Just a place to post announcements by state

I dont think that its a bad thing that there are smaller groups forming, it creates a smaller circle of close friends, whose cars we actually get to see in person. g20touring, have you ever visited the nycg message board? There hasn't been a post in about a month. We all still come here to check out whats going on.

Actually, one of the things I am trying to do with the Yahell group is have events listed on the Calendar, with reminders sent out. The yahell group is the back-up for G20.net, but I really want that list to be more of a tech site, and a place for calendar info.

I don't think this would work out to well for the states with few g20 modders in them. I mean hell in Utah it's me, hakes24, ndawg, boingo82? and maybe 1 or 2 more soon hopefully.

We should go with regional chapters. We could integrate the chapters into the SERCA chapters already out there.

Some of us are already members too....

I think we already have different groups on g20.net and I think itd be nice for these groups to have their own section to post about stuff that relates to only them. As an example, if there's a meet or maybe a new shop that opens in Nor Cal, people in TN dont care about that. But...if someone is new to the site and is from Nor Cal, itd make it easier to find local people. etc

Ok, here's my suggestion... feel free to make changes as necessary.

Southwest (AZ, CA, NV, UT, etc..)
Northwest (WA, OR, etc..)
Central (Texas, OK, etc..)
Midwest (Illinois, etc..)
Southest (FL, GA, etc..)
East (TN, VA, etc..)
Northest (MA, NY, etc...)

We could easily just separate the meeting and events section up into this, so you click on it and it brings up these options.

I'm for this.

I don't think state chapters would be necessary... I don't usually see floods of regional event posts, and I actually read up on Cali meets and the Toronto meet threads, cuz I like to see what's going on in other parts. People who usually post regional threads are clear in where and what is happening, so someone could always just pass on clicking it...

So far as NYCGs goes, I think every one of our members has been more active here as a result... we use our site to post pics, videos and personal bios, stuff that would just overload the available space on g20.net's server. All my NYCG communication goes on here, and more people here on the forums have joined us at our monthly meets, thus creating a stronger community back at g20.net.

Sorry if I sound defensive, but I'm really proud of where NYCGs has gone in such a short amount of time, and I feel the results have made g20.net stonger.

I thought the "state chapter" idea was referring to adding new sections to the forum, that's what I was opposed to. I'd proudly support G-TN or TNGs... or OPP, HIV, STDs etc etc. Just let me know when the first meet is, road trip!!!

i duno if i would see the use in these that much. because to be honest, i wouldnt care about stuff in AZ or UT or anything like that because i couldnt see myself traveling out of state in the near future. i kinda like what dsigns was talking about

Maybe split nor cal and so cal off from SW.

As for the NW, I'm sure everyone up here is fine with having WA, OR and BC, casue we often have people drive from canada to oregon or oregon to canada and everyone in between. Don't know about ID. I don't know if there are actally any members in ID. I think there are just potato fields over there or something.
