: passenger side cv boot

does anybody know how to disconnect the front right axle from the car to put a new outer cv boot on it.

If you have a owner's service manual, there is a good description. I would also try a search on this site.

Here's what I did:
Place the car on jackstands, remove the wheel.
Remove the 35 or 36mm wheel nut (on very tight) - I busted a craftsman and husky wrench trying to take it off, ended up drilling the nut off.
remove the caliper and rotor.
Purchased a ball joint remover ($16 or $17) to disconnect the lower ball joint and steering rod.
removed dust cap from kingpin (I believe that's what it's called)and unscrewed the nut to disconnect the kingpin.
There are three bolts connecting the passenger side axle to the engine.
Once these were removed, the axle slips out of the tranny with not much effort.
Installation is the reverse.

thanks for the info. i have already took the hub and everything that is connected to it off. i now just have to unbolt the axle from the traney.
