2 is always better than 1.

weight problems??? this is nothen compared to some systems. space problem is more likely. i had like a 100lb system in my trunk and it was fine. if u get 2 of them, u can wire them parallel. doin this will give u 2 ohm so u can get the same amp that would power the 1 to power both.

personally audiobahn is the way i would go, but that is just me. most people w/ p10's & p11 have jbl. if u wanna be like everyone else, get that.

Jbl hmm? I got 2 pioneer impp's, and they sound just fine. Depends on what you're paying really, if you are getting 2 MTX's it's going to hog your trunk room. Thats the only problem.

I used to have 4 JBLs...just recently I switched to 4 Alpine Type Rs...boy these are some slamming subwoofers! As for the weight - don't let it bother you - are cars aren't fast - let's face it. A little extra weight for more enjoyment is well worth the extra tenth that you'll lose from your quater mile.

Go with however many subwoofers you can afford. If you can afford 2 MTXs then go for it.

it really depends on the inclosure to be honest. you cant get really nice sound out of just one if you have the right inclosure. dont just buy woofers and some inclosure from bestbuy make sure the inclosure is right for the woofer as well as what you want out of it for sound. you can go to mtx.com and get the dimensions and such. they will might look like a foreign langauge but will make sense to any good installer.

Does this include home-made enclosures? Lol. I had the scrap wood at home so I just made a couple enclosures (the right dimensions, of course) and put them in the trunk. I have a picture: IMPP Subs (http://images.cardomain.com/installs/237000-237999/237167_16_full.jpg)

They work, but I'll probably get a pre-fab box thats all carpeted, will look MUCH better.

if ur goin for homemade, and u want it to sound good, use 3/4" mdf(medium density fiberboard). use the specs of the sub for best results. u can buy the carpet from crutchfield, or walmart. some auto places sell them. the capet just sticks on.

I know where I can get carpet I'm just too lazy to do it, lol. I carpeted a 3.5 cubic foot ported box before. Some 15's need a lot of air.

No, not 1000 rms, but 400 watt rms, lol. I still have the sub, in fact, check it out: GSD Sub (http://images.cardomain.com/installs/237000-237999/237167_17_full.jpg)

You can see part of the big ol box next to it.

Yes, ported to 27 HZ. Didnt really affect the sub in a sealed or ported box, I thought it would so I built that big ass box.

Anyone need a big ass box?
