You have to figure, wiring issues, ecu issues, msd setup, harness issues, manifold setup, fmic or top, alot of issues basicly. Your best bet is to research a SR20VE, and then look into a DET setup... Etc.

Actually its not simple at all, its not just a drop in swap. Your best best would be an sr20ve with sr20det internals and then slap a turbo in and you have a vet. Not only are VET's hard to get (which I DOUBT youll get one) but they are very different from the SR20DE, SR20VE's.
Check Andreas Miko's posts on www.sr20forum.com

Yep, the VETs don't have a throttle cable for a start....

Yup, VET's do not have thotrtle cable, it is fly bye wire... You can get a 20VE or 16VE TB TPs, and oput it on.. or replace the whole intake mani, and get an entiere sr16be n1 setup.
Also, you have to add a distributor, because it is normaly "fly by wire" as it has edis.
Then, you need to get your solonoid (singular both cams switch at sime time on the vet), to switch.
Also, the VET turbo is not great... it will max about 320... GTi-R or BB or Avinere FMIC Kits wont bolt up to the VET Turbo, without modification. What else...

No vet, just gave up on the de rebuild.
Cash burning a hole in my pocket but the vet would of been pushing it.

So the full rotating assembly from the det xfers completely over to the VE without a hitch, lowers the comp, and gives you basically a built ve-t???????
I bet that cam actuation is BEEEYATCH with 12lbs pumpin when they open!!! Ouch-- It'd be like an extra 100 shot all the sudden-- and bye bye Formula TransAM--
That would be nice to have those extra rpms available for higher revs before shifting-- it would make up alot for the lack of torque on the bottom end, as you'd never have to drop down past 4 or 5k...
Easy daily/driver too..
