Cat cams.....

I sent QEP an email the other day to get prices of their cams to compare to JWT plus shipping prices as they are only £10 shipping in the UK from QEP..

The cams from cast blanks 1600512-1600520 are £286.23 + Vat/Pair
The cams from steel billets 1603512-1603520 are £427.53 + Vat/Pair

Delivery is £10 + Vat



So that's £336.32 ($589.38) or £502.35 ($880.20) plus £11.75 ($20.59) delivery.

Not bad for the cast ones but from steel billets it's pricey. I did ask for non roller and roller prices but they didn't list them there with the numbers but they will be the same as the other cast blanks I assume.

Anyone any input on those cams, or the Polish cams..

The lifts are smaller than the JWT cams but bigger durations, especially as they start measuring at a higher lift.

I'm not clued up on cam durations really. Which is better ?? More duration at slightly less lift or more lift and less duration ??
