Well, with the way my car is setup right now, i'm all the way down in the front , or as low as it'll allow me to go. nd the rear is level with the front as far as wheel gap (still a couple turns from the bottom). That was before I got it corner balanced... now it's a little off from that, the fronts are right near the bottom (had to move them up to allow adjustability) and the rears are adjusted to help with the corner weight. this is with an 8" spring in the front and a 7" spring in the rear. Spring rates are 340/250. Hope this helps. BTW, mine are no where near as low as the intrax were on my car. I'd say about 2-3 finger gap all around. closer to 2 in back, closer to 3 up front.

Your GC setup is very radical also cool. I was thinking about buying GC or HKS on my 95 G20t; howver, I was afraid to have alignment problems and uneven tire wear. Also, in Illinois, I can't find any good shops that can fix up on Nissan cars. I am happy with OE touring springs on my car after putting new OE upper links.

I will try and post my OEM vs INTRAX vs Ground Control Pics ....
OEM ride was best ( or most comfortable ), but GC is a VERY Close second, Third is Intrax but it felt great on the Highway ( until a bump ) and turning was like slot racing ..... but for the street every bump felt like the Materhorn some days .. better for the suburbs ,,

The intrax springs are very deceiving, they feel like you are cornering very well, very flat, however in reality you are just on the bumpstops, so if you hit any sort of bump turning, you’re likely to start sliding, as you don’t have any suspension travel to soak up the bump  I pushed it a couple times with my intrax setup (when it was on the car) and if i pushed it hard and hit a bump, i'd get horrible bumpsteer and the car would just do whatever it wanted to do :( Not fun. The GC's are awesome, on the track they really shine. =)

How much does the Ground Control setup cost, and is it a better deal overall than getting all-powerful TEINS....?

GC cost ~$500, plus the cost of whatever shocks you get (AGX or Koni). I don't think tein makes coilovers for the p10

If your interested in the Teins, I think they make them for the P10. Luke is planning a GB on them, you can check out the thread for info and pricing:

You are right I remember hitting bumps while I was turning and feeling like I hit a patch of ice. And I live in Miami....
I have two finger gap in front ( 1.5) and two in the back.

From what I can see in that thread and on teins website http://www.tein.com/ they only make them for the P11 :(

I was told that JIC had a better product than of ground control. The ones for my car are abour $1700. But, my car is a 99 I'm not really sure if they have for the P10. It also depends what you want to do with the car. If daily driver no point of droping 2Gs on suspension. www.jic-magic.com is the site in case your intersted.

JIC is the best for the G but its little more costly then the Teins.
Oh and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that '99's and up are P11.

Dude, they are far from all-powerful.
Konis would be a big improvement from AGX. You can get them from Shigspeed.
Hell, you could get full race dampers from Koni. Some assembly required. ;)
There are a number of other excellent choices as well.

Uh, y'all should try the Shigspeed before saying that. Scott is using Konis and I'll wager that they are superior to the JIC.

Are you running 7" or 8" springs up front? I think I really need 8" springs and Koni bumpstops. With that I think the ride would be primo, but until I get the 8" springs I won't know.
The ride really is incredibly good.
hey Geo it's me aka OG20,
I just put an order of 275lb "8"inch/ 200lb 7inch ers springs. I should get them in a week and hopefully I can get them in my ride by the end of the month. Thanks for all your advice I'll tell you how they ride once I get them. I agree the koni's are probally way better than the single rebound kybs/gabs. I didn't know they koni made a p10 application when I bought my kybs. I've ridden in other cars with konis and tokicos w/ super stiff gc springs slammed to the ground and their ride comfort is way better. so I'm guessing those shocks manage the spring energy way better than the kybs (correct me if I'm wrong) oh well. who's running konis on their p10's?????

I called BLITZ ( my local shop ) they told me they but 8" in the front becuase my concerns with all the bumps and potholes here in Miami.
The ride is so much better than the INTRAX in the city. I keep bracing my body when I come to bumps and Bridges but nothing now .... I will post the pic tomorrow since I got it washed ...lol
how many finger/s gap do you have on your fenders. is it flush, 4x4 G20, or tucked for hard rolling bumping miami bass. haha

Are you coming to the Texas Rally in Denton on the 20th? You should! It will be great. It's the first one we've had in 2.5 years. Anyway, there should be well over 20 cars at this event. You'll get to meet SR20 folks from all over the state.
Here's a temporary web site:
http://wintermute.firesermon.com/rally%208.htm
BTW, a Texas Rally is not a race, but just a big gathering of SR20 folks from all over the state.

I've heard of the event but I thought it was aimed at the races that were going on in SA. Hmmm, I might have to give it a shot, thanks for the invite. =)

You know, if anyone is interested in 2 8" 340lb ERS spring for their GC's, i'd be interested in trading them for 2 7" 340lb springs (or something that is very close in spring rate to this). I am looking for 7" springs for the front instead of 8" springs. The springs are fine, I just need more adjustability to corner balance my car better and keep it at the same ride height.

Over spring break I went for a ride in Ron's G20t with the Shigspeed setup. I must say I was impressed with the ride quality. It was almost as comfortable as my own stock G20. Of course, my front suspension is kinda messed up since I curbed it over the summer. :( I am yet to ride on the JIC's or TEIN's, or any other aftermarket G20 suspension set-ups for that matter, but the ride on the Shigspeed's was so much better than I was expecting from any aftermarket set-up. I felt like I could drive Ron's car on even the crappy roads of Berkeley and still maintain some level of comfort. And this was on 17 inch wheels, too.
Apparently the Shigspeed set-up consists of GC coilovers, stock shocks which are shortened, gutted and replaced with the guts of a Koni shock, and Koni bumpstops. Someone please correct me if this is wrong.
The Shigspeeds are rather expensive. I think Ron said they were around $1500, much more than I'm willing to pay for a new suspension. But if money weren't an object, I'd certainly consider it along with the JIC's and TEIN's. ;)

1 to 1.5 finger front and back. Depending if you are laying your finger flat ( palms down ) or finger side ways ( palms out ). I got to find a site to ost these pcitures ....
im looking to buy some gc coilovers for my 2000 p11 but i want to know how low will it sit and how high can it sit as well. if some one can post pics please of two settings, dropped all the way and all the way up. probably wondering why all the way up its because i have to work about 20 miles from work and its quite bumpy. i ha bought some hp coilovers for a sentra but the back only tucked in half the tire because if i could of gotten the different plates it could of dropped1 1/2 inches more. i couldnt try the front

Ah, I'd be careful here Justin.... by putting the same lb spring (340) in your fronts, but being an inch shorter, I'll bet you're going to bottom out.
GC usually recommends going up in spring lb when going down in length. So if you're going down to 7", maybe go up to 380lb or so.
Just an FYI..

Even if I adjust the collar up to make it even with where the car sits now (or like 1/8" lower...)? I thought the only thing i'd have to worry about would be the coil not having enough room to compress, as I haven't bottomed out yet with the car set where it's at now. A slightly stiffer spring wouldn't bother me, but I just really like the balance of the car as is.
WRONG>>I've got 7" 350lb's up front and you barely get into the springs. My car is set at half a finger almost flush with my fenders on 17's and I know for a fact that I don't bottom out. I've spent a few weekends with my friends camcordering our rides on some messed up freeway strips in SoCal and even though my friends hondas and Integras are running 380lb and the other 375springs up front my ride is the sportiest with the least body roll then theirs. They've even drove my car and assumed that I had at least 450lb springs. I could have sworn that they both had way softer springs but I copied the numbers off their springs and confirmed their rates w/ GC. I wish I had a digital camera because my canyon racing friend showed me a couple Front wheel drive drift and grip driving techniques and you know when you car recoverers from the end of a mean turn, especially when its almost sideways, you can typically see mean body roll as the car straitens out. Mine barely has any, flatter than alley mcbeal. I just found a secluded long three lane turn with fresh asphalt. I took it a litte faster than I usually do the other day, anticipated the turn did a little rally car sway out then in punching my brake at the turn so the weight shifted up front and holy shit I thought I was going to hit the inner rail but I quickly countersteered and floored it. My yokohamas where screaming for like 4 seconds. By far the coolest thing I've done in my G. What weird is when I had my Incrap..I mean intrax springs the turning sucked the front end would hop and slide out with the back of the car still in line. Now with the GC's I've left some mean rubber marks on freeway onramps. ok enough now..
