I need to purchase an OBD2 USDM G20 ecu, and I was told 94-96 was OBD2. I always thought OBD2 started in 1996? I also looked on car-part.com and it shows that the 1996 ECU is different. I just want to clarify it so I don't end up buying the wrong ECU. I am going to get it chipped and installed on my u13 bluebird motor in my 99 P11. I am using the USDM SR20DE wiring harness. Thanks guys

OBD was from 1994 and fully compliant.

According to the ECU Identifier on JWT's website, it shows that some 1994 ECUs are not OBD2

If it starts with A11 then it's OBD1, A18 is OBD2

I believe that is the 93.5 that they are counting as 94.

ZoliElo can you explain what is a 93.5? Are those sold as 1994 G20s or 1993 but with the changes of the 1994?
