intake cam

i have herd that a cam from a 91 or 92 G put into a latter modle p10. my?? is can u use any other cams like from a 200sx or a se-r that will give me the same gain, pleas let me know what year and modle that will work.

if u put a highport (91-93.5) intake cam on a lowport (94+) motor, you will see very nice gains for the price. ITs dynoed that you gain 15.1hp over stock cam ;)

The answer is: any intake cam from a 91 through 93.5 SR20 engine. Any car that has that engine is what you're looking for.

i want one but i cant find any junkyards near me with imports? lame. how much would you expect to pay for one from a junkyard if i find one?

I bought a 92 NX 2000 intake cam on eBay and it has dark spots on two of the lobes (right at the peak). They just barely catch my fingernail, and are about 1 or 2 mm in diameter.

Can I polish these spots out or just ignore them, or do I need to trash the cam? (It wasn't terribly expensive).
