Since I, as well as many other g20 enthusiasts are pleased with the website and forum...somebody should come up with some windshield stickers so we could rep the G20 click. What yall think. I'd get one.

Yeah I just got my BOSE head unit hooked up to my subs and amp and it hits harder than Mike Tyson. It won't bite my ear off but you know what I mean. I got a nice sealed box to go with it too. heh heh. I would advise it to anyone who wants to get the bass that they deserve. I would have gotten a nice cd player to go with it but I would rather save up for a even nicer dvd player. But for that dvd it would set me back around $1500-2000 for a good one. How do you use the smilies, I don't see them except for the message icons.

If anyone wants to start this up. Talk to Ari at www.stickercastle.com He is doing about 500 stickers for my company and is pretty cool. I found him on the ser20deforums. So hes a fellow nissan enthusiast. If you need someone to help with the design, let me know...

From the roadraceengineering.com site.

Tuning Tip: Red is a good color for all around performance, however with a big turbo blue gets upwards of 10 hp, unless you have stock cams, then only 5 hp. Purple is best for bottom end power, mix with red for excellent mid-range. For NT cars, shift all recommendations one hue towards a warmer color. Yellow hose should only be used on high compression NTs or turbo cars with welded differentials. Proper Sticker Tuning can be a successful work around for any of these concerns. ;-P

Even though its about hoses, I'm pretty sure the same applies to stickers too. ;)

Hey,

Just my ideas for the G20.net Stickers.

Firstly, I agree with the rear screen idea as a lot of people already have stickers up front. plus its better for people to read when following you (or getting blown away :P )

The font used on the logo at the top of the page is pretty tidy so why not use that as the font for the stickers... Kinda makes everything uniform. Also, Have the g20 part white as above but make the .net bit available in Red, Blue, silver and another popular color/colour and have a clear background. I know this doesnt make them as cheap to make but we need to look sweet when representing g20.net and I would certainly pay a bit extra for a colour that matched my car. (its dark blue btw). Also, How about an infinity badge on one side and a Nissan badge on the other side so us guys over here in the UK can get in on the action... Just my thoughts and I hope you agree..

G-Forces, If you can let me know which font the logo is done in I will take a look at getting some designs done.. only if you want that is, wouldnt want to intrude too much :)

so is there any update on this? it all started over a week ago.. I'd consider a sticker on the back... Hey, if you can get 'em for a reasonable price and before May 24th, I'd put it on before my 10K road trip.. It would be interesting to see if we get any new members from that!!!!!

Speaking of stickers, I just got mine in from Ari at www.stickercastle.com <---blatent plug here---

sticker here (http://www.customsteel.com/2001/G20/CS%20Sticker.jpg)

They are EXACTLY what I wanted. Although I did provide the artwork as a .cmx file (Corel Media Exchange)

If you need anyone to go up the artwork I can do it no problem.

Ari - you kick @$$

I vote for neither front NOR back stickers.

I'd be willing to put something small and tasteful (ie: no purple, silver, yellow, etc) on my rear quarter windows. Just something like the banner logo. Keep the white and red and make it maybe 1" high by 5" long or so. Simple and sweet. Would look good on the quarter windows or just behind the front wheels. Plus, the red/white would look good on most colors and would work well with tinted windows.

I'll try to Photoshop something up to give everyone a visual of what it would look like.

Maybe we can offer a few different sizes and colors...

Keep in mind though that they would be vinyl stickers and 1 color.

Here's an example of one I had on my windshield. I can make them say "www.G20.net". You can remove the "www." if you'd like by just peeling it off. Also the ".net" in the one I had made was just a tad too big, maybe it should be a bit smaller. We can offer them in a large size for windshields and a smaller size as some of you suggested..

Only pic I have of it, sorry its not too clear...

depending on the design, what ever wasted space you have, say with a large sticker can be used to make smaller ones. It depends on how many you can squeeze into that space. Im sure Ari would be down with this since it saves on waste.

Brian: what font is that for the logo by the way.

Hey count me in too. I'd definitely like to put one in white bubble letters spanned on the bottom of my windshield where the windshield wipers sit. I think that would look pretty cool. Anyone else?

Also - I could've sworn I saw a g20.net decal.

Here is a layout (http://www.customsteel.com/2001/G20/G20stickers.jpg) on the stickers using 25" X 5" of space for $h*ts and giggles...

The sizes are as follows

big www,G20,net - 24.25" X 3"
little www,G20,net - 8.07" X 1"
Big Logo - 4" X 2"
Little Logo - 2" X 1"
Little G20 by itself - 3" X 1

Dont know what size limitations Ari has so that may play into effect.

Thanks for bringing up my name when you are thinking about getting stickers. Whenever you guys come up with a design you like just send it my way. We can do various sizes and colors so there should be a little something for everyone.

Also, I have been working to get black license plate frames to put decals on for people who are not a big fan of stickers. If you guys have any questions you can email me at ari@stickercastle.com.

hey,

I just wanted to stick my thoughts in before you actually get them made.

I dont know about anyone else but I'm really not down with that red sticker set...... the lettering isnt very sleek and red isnt the best color surely.

I know its not my choice but im sure a slightly "cooler" font would be better and if you are only having one type of design then surely white lettering is your best option as it goes with just about every other color car.... That white bubble one was cool... I really hope you pick a good design so that everyone will want one!! Also, I saw you had infiniti badges on the set... are you thinking of putting nissan ones on there too?

If worst comes to worst I'll be asking for your permission to get my own decals printed for my rear quarters over in the uk in a colour to match my car!!!

Best of luck finding a good set!!

Thanks for listening
Kev

I think people are just throwing around ideas. If we end up doing them we can really offer a ton of different designs. If you guys supply the artwork and I can cut from it we can use it. The way Stickercastle is setup is that we pay G20 a royalty for the stickers we sell on our site. This is why I do a lot of forum decals. The forum owners do nto have to front the large chunk of cash to get a sticker order done. Plus, since we don't have/make a big stockpile we can offer a bunch of designs because they are made to order. It seems to work pretty well.

Colors can be changed without too much hassle, and everything can be scaled to what is best. Its a .jpg for christ's sake its not going to look clean.

I would just hate see Ari do a lot of different fonts, sizes, logos, nicknames, and pimp-a-delic chrome stickers. Its all about keeping it simple and too the point, I did it in red because I like red.

That was just a layout showing what *could* be done by maximizing the space and using the existing logo that Brian spent countless hours and sleepless nights designing

Not to worry Brian, Ive got your back on the design....:smoke:

Now you know I had to get my two cents in this one!! I like the whole sticker idea... also I agree to keep them nice, clean and sweet. Uniform is a great way to go, sorta' like an all-around, world-wide, big-family, we-all-love-the-site, share-common-interests type of club!! The Logo/Header on top of the page looks good! The whole two color idea (half white: G20, half something: .net) sounds wonderful! I'd put small ones on each side at the bottom of the back quarter window... It would definitely look sweet on nice tints!! :p If you guys do carry on with the idea, I'm baggin' a pair! Make them available somewhere on this site or make individual sales.

Like I said... My two cents!

Honestly... I only need the site owner's permission. I printed out a copy of the Banner/Header and I could take it to this place I know around my job and have them make a sticker out of it... :) I'd really keep it as is... White/Red. It represents the site and it makes a nice effect :p . So if it's okay, I'll go ahead and get it done and show ya'll pictures when completed... but I'll need my tints done first! Permission?? ;)

All white is too common... Every freakin' sticker and their mother out there are unicolored!! How about being different!! What happened to that!? :o Do you wanna have a regular all white sticker on your car similar to the "Girlie Girl Racing" ones??? Or even better... the ones used by the Rice Street Boys??? :-\ I don't think so! Personally, I wanna represent this site, and I wanna keep it as it is, I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but all white sounds common, and far from innovative to me!! But I guess to each his own... no offense... I'll do mine on my own.
I have a black P10, and with dark tints, this lil' red '.NET' will add a nice twist :) cuz' it'll only match the red rear side markers and the red in my tail lights... The only red things allowed on the car! :p ... well... except when I'll have both 95_g20_P10 and G20HOUSTON in a head-lock, as they bleed on my nice 18's, begging me to stop becuz' they'll take the "all-white" off their cars!! ... BWAAA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA!!! .... lmao!!

Bwa ha ha ah !! ... anyways... to stop fooling around... allow him to come up with how he wants the money from those who agree and we should pick up from there.

Some pointers on marketing and business related......

First, who ever is doing the sticker, it needs to be seen by others in other for them to decide whether they should get it or not. By that get one done and post it up here so everyone can see. Once people expressed interests, get a mass production of these bad boys. Who ever wants to get their hands on these bad boys, he or she can send in a cheque to this individual. Voila! Business' done and everybody is happy.

Okay, so Ill let the cat out of the bag. Brian (Boogie) is currently working on stickers, tshirts, and the like. Not to keep people from doing their own thing but I would much rather see the money go towards the maintainence of this site. Brian is doing this out of pocket plus any donations that come his way. I know this stuff isnt cheap, and hopefully they (the stickers) will be out in the near future....so please be paitient....

In addition...of the 938 current members only 18 have donated anthing, some of us more than once....this is a GREAT forum and Ill make the plug...give a little, everyone including me has learned a great deal and met some cool people thru this forum, without it...where would we all be right now? Okay, ill get off my soapbox now....

I have to agree with Yahnozha, that's why they have a donation button you know... I know I haven't given much myself, but I know I will everytime I get the chance. I've learned things from this forum I never thought existed for the G20's (Didn't even know it was called a Primera outside the U.S.)... The donation is not a requirement, but I'm sure it would be appreciated... and it doesn't even have to be a buzz load of greens either... Honestly, if buying the stickers from G20.net (Boogie n' Company) benefits the site, I could definitely wait and get it from them ionstead of making my own. ;) I really like this site, that's probably why I'm on it 20 times every freakin' day!! (oh wait... that was for my Porn site...).. :monster: he he he ! Mainly because Brian is funding this himself and is paying out of his own pocket, but yeah the idea of giving away money shocks me to my selfish core (it doesn't really, it's just I don't have enough money for me let alone anyone else) but buying stickers, t-shirts etc. would make me feel good because I'm getting something tangible out of it, and it would contribute the running of the site.

Official G20.net merchandise: You know it makes sense.

Jul 11, 02, 12:04 PM
Ok... never before have I questioned "who do the donations go to?" ... maybe I should... but I won't... I'm sure (i only assume) the owner(s) of the site must pay sumthin' to keep it on the internet... and whether the pay is $10 or $100 for the year... the info that comes out of this forum is rich enough and makes it worth a lil' bit out of my pocket. But that's just me. It's not a requirement, remember that. I don't even know the guy, so it's not like I'm advertising and backing him up... I'm just supporting the idea... But for those who are just plain... broke.... we totally understand, though I would strongly suggest you flip open a newspaper and look for a job... (no offense intended) .....
Official products sound pretty good really... hope the owner(s) can afford providing them... still come to think of it... why should he?... If people can't even afford donating... what would make them be able to buy products..??? (considering a sticker is more expensive than $2 of donation) :knockout:

That would be a waste of money and time for the onwer(s)

Man... the what is the world coming to?... :-\

Well... my two... well.. $1.50... (like someone said once: Inflation)

Peace!!
