Hey guys, im not a real known member but Ive been around for awhile I suppose, some of you may remember the thread I posted about my 89 300ZX. Well i thought I would give you guys a little update. Since then I have sucessfully did an auto to manual swap on the car, the only thing thats being done right now is cleaning up and new Ujoints on the driveshaft. Ill be picking that up next week. Over spring she is getting a whole new suspension and hopefully a nice new paint job. Im not sure yet about the fate of the G20, she is still running strong but Im not sure what I want to do with her, Im either going to keep her, maybe get the work that needs to be done, or do a basic setup and AutoX her till she dies. Or sell her to the brother of the original friend I bought it from. I will say this she sucks in the winter. But next year I will be boosting the 300ZX and hopefully makeing around 300-350rwhp.

To all of you G20.net users, I just want to say thank you, between you guys and the Z31 communities I have learned more than I ever have, and I owe the start of my new car ventures to you guys, this forums is how I got started and pretty much learned about cars from the bottom up!

Here is the pics of the flywheel, I had to retap the holes in the crank due to a small misshap and reusing a spacer I did not have to use, causing the bolts to strip the threads inside the crank.

I sure hope you have a shift knob for those open thread buddy :smile: She looks good. From the ONE picture... What's wrong with the G?

Nothing mechanicly is wrong with the G, but bodywork and the front crossmember would need to be redone and it would cost around 3 grand in total

Basicly the 300ZX is mint, the only paint thats bad on the car is the hood is faded and a small scrape on the bumper from someone hitting it a couple years back. The interior is mint except for needing a good cleaning and a new headliner which happens to every Z. Engine is mint except for needing new injector hoses and a tune up. I am also getting a short shifter and a new knob too :cheese:
