My coolant's been leaking and I believe it's either coming from the cap or dripping from the oil pan area. my heater also stopped working.. Anybody knows what I need to replace? I've been searching but it's either radiator or waterpump.. I just don't want to replace anything that I don't have to.. please help.. thank you

you need to find exactly where it's coming from. if its dripping from inside the pass side front wheel that's the water pump, prob just a seal behind the pump.
if it's coming from the radiator itself try some "bars leaks" stuff.
Oh and Welcome to Gnet!

yeah that's exactly where it's coming from. also I saw coolant coming out of the radiator cap.. I changed the cap already but it still does the same thing. I will be taking to the shop tomorrow but I just want to make sure that they will be replacing what just needs to be replaced. I had it checked for leaks by doing the pressure test and they said there's no leak. what else should I be looking for before taking it to the shop? thanks for the welcome by the way

changing the t stat fixed the no heat problem in both of my g20s but there are a couple other possible causes

mine just keeps blowing it out the over flow.... my radiator was stopped up and the fans were not coming on as supposed to so i hard wired them into the inside to a switch!

well update on my p10.... it was the waterpump.. got it fixed yesterday.. cost $309. I wish I could've done it myself. part was only $80. Maybe I need to start learning our engine and start fixing it myself..

yeah it is a bitch to do, so they charge a lot of money. Definitely a good DIY job. . . .
$309, that's like 77 trips to dunkin donuts . . . .

Odd huh? I had this 300Z once came in, no coolant. Filled it up, pressure tested it, nothing, no leaks. I was like WTF!? So i took it out for a drive, SPLASH! Pulled back in and saw everything coming out of the waterpump. Filled up again and pressure tested, nothing. Turned the car on, SPLASH!
Sometimes you gotta think outside the box ;)
And $309 will get you 309 Spicy Chicken Crisps! :D

I also suspect that my water pump is bad. I started to leak from right by the passenger wheel well, but it was after I had to put a new belt on the pump and power steering. Could I have tightened too much and ruined the pump! when I look into the coolant I can see that there is rust from something (At least it is the color of rust, I put green coolant in). The engine also runs rough since the leak sprang. is it all the same thing? is changing the water pump similar to replacing the belt?
Thanks in advance- I LOVE THIS SITE!!!!

Not really like replacing a timing belt since SRs dont have timing belts, but yeah, its down there and its kinda hard to get to
