The MS3 is a very fun car. Handles very well, is very responsive. My biggest problems for the day was the turn in on the Mazda and my lack of sticky tires. The rt615's came in a day late, so I ran on Potenza's, not sticky enough. So the car was understeering like crazy. Not to mention I was fully used to the sharp steering of the car, you could say i'm used to the large smooth turning of the G. So I was cutting many of my angle too sharp causing a good deal of understeer.

Also I found that the DSC (traction control and stability control) was a huge hinderance. Once I turned it off the car acted much more natural and neutral.

I spun out on the last turn ofthe last run. Bummer too cause I was putin down good numbers for that run. I was so close to the finish line that I put the car in reverse and rolled it backwards over the finish line.

All in all a great day, next one is May 18th, If your in the area come on out.

The p11 is SM cause of the slotted rotors, front and rear stb, rear sway, wrong size rims and tires, WAI. Also has a ACT clutch, and a few bushings here and there are replaced. Not that they would check the clutch and bushing, but figured I'd let you guys know.

*ohh and the busted right fender that somebody decided to back into and then drive off, while me and the lady were out to eat. Special people. But hey, its good for atleast ten hp.

I had to work that night, otherwise I would of tried my times in the P11 on a couple of fun runs.

Maybe in May I will track that one as well, but I think we are retiring that P11, going to both race the Mazda so we are more competetive with each other. And maybe if I'm really feeling crazy I'll take the black one out, but I would cry if I ever broke that thing, so I doubt I can muster myself to doing that, but we'll see.

Yeah she is dissapointed she can't really compete in SM, but she should be racing teh MS3 then she'll have no problem. There is a Camaro in SM locally that is nuts. Scary power and has it set up so it goes around the track looking like it isn't moving. No body roll, no tire squeal, nothing. She'll never compete with that thing.

So here are the sticky tires that were at the UPS store all weekend, just teasing me.

I'll have the rt615's on the oem wheels that way I can stay in DS and the potenza's that are on the stock rims will be moved to the Konigs. The Konigs are 18x8, so i'll be stretching the stock tire a bit seeing that it is a 215/45 and the falkens are 225/40, it unfortunate that I have to mismatch the tires to the rims, but it'll work out.
