: My soon to be new obsession
paintballer715 Jun 15, 08, 09:58 PM Hey guys and gals I'm Cameron, I just bought a 92 G20 from a local auction. Figured it would be a good choice, since my parents have been driving Nissan cars since before my existence.. This will likely be the first of many Infinitis to come for me, and this is my opportunity to mess around with the car and find what works and doesn't work for me.

ChickenWing Jun 16, 08, 06:10 AM welcome. If youre good to it, it'll be good to you.
stuntzG20 Jun 16, 08, 12:13 PM not to bad, looks like a good fix-r-upper
Robj80 Jun 16, 08, 12:41 PM welcome! Looks good from the pics. No noticable rust in the usual spots. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you snag it for? Any known problems? List the specs like 5spd or auto, miles etc.
Sorry for all the question!
paintballer715 Jun 16, 08, 08:10 PM haha no worries man. Well it's a 5 speed but 5th gear actually doesn't work. 198k miles on it, but runs like it has 30k. Had to replace the hood and windshield when I first bought it.. funny story! Other than that, it has been awesome thus far. I've had to replace one fuel injector and one hose. I spent a little over a grand on the car plus title and auction fees.
paintballer715 Jun 16, 08, 08:11 PM oh yeah and it has that sickly huge dent in the drivers side door (it was there when I bought it) and a few other small dings
j-tek Jun 16, 08, 08:18 PM welcome to g20net bro.......
"G"-sus! Jun 16, 08, 11:24 PM Had to replace the hood
I thought you were just getting started on blacktoping it...
Welcome and you are right about the new obsession! Think of Gnet as your local crack dealer!
P11Gdub Jun 16, 08, 11:30 PM Well it's a 5 speed but 5th gear actually doesn't work.
that's a common problem. you can swap in a touring tranny with LSD, or a B13 tranny, for higher gearing ratio.

haha no, I would prefer it to be just one color.. maybe down the line after getting the dents out I will get a maaco job. Btw has anyone tried the dry ice trick? does it really work? I have a buddy that removes dents, but the dry ice would still save me some green..

it's worth try. Tim posted this trick with a can of Duster. he also likes cookies.
Also, i bought some air duster to help remove my dents...

"G"-sus! Jun 17, 08, 09:42 AM Dry ice/Air duster DOES NOT WORK!!!!
I tried it on a small dinger w/ a heat gun just to know first hand...
stuntzG20 Jun 17, 08, 10:01 AM im gonna get the air duster and go dent my neighbors car to try this
paintballer715 Jun 17, 08, 09:05 PM haha I tried the blow dryer/ air duster today on a few different dents with NO LUCK. I think with the size of the dent on the drivers door, I just may replace the whole door
