Very VERY tempting! Im about to send my payment to Andy at AMR for my coilovers and put them on as soon as i get them so this even gives me enough time to prep up the P10.

Does the $130 cover gas or how does that work?

Yeah i might ask Joe (E36 driver) if i can borrow that suction cup mount for that day

Put me on the list :)

Big thanks to Alex for posting this. You rock dude!

My name's Jimmy and I'm one of the staff members for R.A.D. Experience and on behalf of everyone from R.A.D. we welcome any and all types of cars to the events. Our Drift/Gymkhana events at Balcony (WSIR) are truly some of the best bang for the buck events when it comes to the track time the drivers get. The last two events we had nearly no drivers on the track for an hour because people just needed to take a break. We strive to not have such a long wait time for drivers so that they don't get bored and have a great time. :D

Also, sorry about the 5 driver limit. The limit isn't written in stone because we're still trying to figure out if we'll be having a drift group or not. This is why I told Alex that if there are drivers that are willing pay advance (such as right now till about a month before the event) to secure a spot on top of the initial 5 that is perfectly fine. Though by the looks of it it might just be an all grip event so the more the merrier.

The track allows grilles so if you have one bring it. I always bring mine and also Ryan (Event Coordinator) brings his. If you pitch in for food we will cook it. Simple as that.

If there are first timers considering coming to Horse Thief I recommend at least an autocross event or something along the lines of that. Our Gymkhana events are well suited for beginners and some basic driving techniques are definitely picked up quick. Don't want to make Horse Thief seem like an overly advanced track, but because of its layout and its changes in elevation it can at times be to much for some drivers.

As mentioned motorcycle helmets are allowed as long as they're DOT and Snell approved. Helmets can be both open face or full face. Please make sure your cars are in sound running condition. No leaks. Nothing loose in the engine bay and inside of the car.

If anyone is interested in attending one of our gymkhana events here is the ad for this Saturday's event (yes, I know crazy short notice lol):

Plenty of spots left, but don't sleep on it as they fill up fast.

I only have one question:

Is it mandatory to have a roll bar on a convertible or just having a helmet is good enough? ( ^_^) ??

any word on the roll bar requirement?

DreamN
Oct 26, 08, 09:57 AM
Sorry about the late reply. Didn't subscribe to the thread.

All convertibles must be equipped with a 4 point roll bar. If we're talking about the S2000, it's okay. it comes with a 4 point roll protection system from the factory. I recommend keeping the top up though unless you want to spend the next day cleaning your interior for a few hours :D.

Hey Styx I spoke Jimmy (DreamN) last night and getting more information for the event. Since he's one of the coordinators he can work with the pricing.

AnimeGee....the s2000 already has a 4 point roll protection so no need for a roll cage. But you do need a helmet.

The helmets must be DOT Approved and Snell Approved. Motorcycle helmets like open face are fine as long they have both approvals.
