I'm open to suggestions on what wheels to get as well. I would like to go with 16's and stick with nissan or infiniti wheels if possible. I saw some 16's off of a b15 that were on a maroon P11 not too long ago that looked awesome. They weren't SE-Rs but they were probably 8 spokes or so. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

If you want stock rims, go spec v's (6 spoke) IMHO they are the best stock rims out there.

very clean P11. but i'd advise against the Eibachs if you're buying new. if you want stiff, go H&R, for softer, go Tein S-Tech.

I definitely want stiff, what is wrong with the eibachs? i have heard pretty good things about them overall.

+1 i hate eibachs for our chassis (p10/p11)

btw, pics of the pedals? any modifications to fit them? how about the dead pedal? :naughty:

That's the best pic i have of the pedals (not my car obviously). I thought i saw a write up about fitting them a while back. I'll try and find it. As for the dead pedal, that is literally the only piece on my car that was missing when i bought it. All the appearance stuff is last on my list though. I want to get it dialed in mechanically, then make it pretty.

I did notice while installing the struts that I need brake pads. I think I'm going to pick up some Hawk HPS's pretty soon here. :naughty:

I also want to get a nice exhaust tip welded on sometime. After discovering that our stock exhaust is almost impossible to improve on from the factory, and not wanting something loud, I think I'm sticking with stock exhaust rather that gaining 2hp... if that much even.

I'm thinking something like this: http://images.autopartsway.com/6exqkcv3.jpg

And about springs, what are some good brands that would drop me around an inch or so, while giving me the stiffness at the same time? Since i have gr2's and not agx's, I'm assuming i shouldn't go much lower than that (not that i would want to anyway).

thanks for all the input so far!

good things for the P11 specifically? i strongly suggest H&R sport springs if you want a mild drop, and stiff.

please tell me were not going to lower it that soon though. p11driver tell the fine people how long it took us to install those gr2's lol. The biggest headache ever, Im never going to listen to you again if you say "that piece is just a cosmetic" when dealing with struts again. We basically replaced the struts twice.

P11_Driver

You're the one who left ALL THE REST OFF without telling us haha. Cale is sitting right next to me as we speak and agrees that it was you that initially wanted to leave them off. We would have only had to re-do one instead of four. But, w/e at least we learned for future installs. And yes, I'm lowering next after the cam goes in.

So i just discovered that my car had its toyo eclipse tires fitted 2 weeks before i bought the car. I'm thinking about going with these wheels

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheel Search&initialPartNumber=27475716HB&wheelMake=MOTEGI+RACING&wheelModel=SP10&wheelFinish=Hyper+Black&showRear=no&autoMake=Infiniti&autoModel=G20&autoYear=1999&autoModClar=&filterSize=15&filterFinish=Painted&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=MOTEGI+RACING&filterNew=All&sort=Brand

and keeping my tires to save some dough. I would be doing this after the H&R's of course. I definately want to go with lightweight wheels. Anyone know what the stock P11 meshies weigh in at?

Here's that engine bay cleaning I was talking about. I sanded all the grime off of the valve cover using around 400-500ish grit sandpaper, and worked my way up to 1000 and wetsanded it from there. It came out pretty damn good I'd say. I sanded the heatsheild as well because it was looking pretty brown. I got all the dust off my hoses and wires, then used some vinyl conditioner to keep em shiny(ish) and protected. My battery tiedown was looking pathetic and had chipped paint and started to rust, so i sanded it down and hit it with a couple coats of some leftover engine block paint. I also discovered that one of my wire separators was cracked, so I popped on some nice little Moroso ones. Only cost me 3.99 at vatozone too. Gotta love cheap mods.

Keep in mind these were taken about 2 weeks after the cleaning took place.
