First and foremost, I personally want to thank every member both past and present, it has been all of you that have made G20.net what it is today.

Jon and I want to let you know that we have concluded the sale of G20.net to an amazing company, Vertical Scope. This deal has been in the works for well over a year and we both feel it is in the best interest of G20.net and its members that this transition to new ownership happen at this point in time.

A few years ago, Jon and I had a discussion about G20.net and the realization that in the not too distant future, we would be faced with the decision on how to keep this site up and running. Do we close the site, shut it down forever, or pass it onto another person (or persons) and hope that they run the site as we have these past 11 years. Due to our other obligations and the financial means necessary to keep the site running, this posed a significant challenge for us while planning the future of the website and forum.

Around the same time, we had been solicited by several companies interested in purchasing the site. After vetting through the interested parties, Vertical Scope came out on top. Their performance history, recent acquisitions, restructuring model, and thoughtfulness on keeping the site as close to the original intent as possible ranked super high with us. What we did not want to happen is for the site to become a advertising/automotive landing page Mecca, but also keep our minimalist, member driven concept and content.

With this sale, it will ensure that G20.net will remain in place for many years to come. Since Jon and I are not leaving, there will be little to no change taking place. Vertical Scope has been very understanding with our forum, member model, how, and why we run things as we do, in addition, why we are one of the best online communities today, and look to a brighter future for the site.

Now the really awesome news...Jon and I are sticking around as admins ;).

All our moderators and staff will remain the same, in addition, Jon and I will continue to administer the site. The technical leadership, however, will change, but for the better. Jon will be working alongside Vertical Scope to continue offering the quick and stable forum you have come to know and love. This move to Vertical Scope will also allow us a better server backbone (newer server), along with a dedicated IT support staff assigned specifically to our forum to help support both day to day tasks (user renames, user activation's, sponsorship status issues, vendor updates, forum updates/changes, etc...) and server related issues. We want our forum to be the best it can be, and continue to grow. Vertical scope will help us achieve that growth and will allow the site to continue as you've enjoyed it for years to come.

That being said, it has been our honor and privilege to be a part of and grow into such an amazing community. Thank you for being as awesome as you are, you all have created something that will truly stand the test of time.
