The xtd stage 2 seems to stick pretty well, but the pedal feels kinda puneish. I wouldn't buy another. The worst part is the through out bearing rattles like a bitch, but for under 200$ it will get you on the road.
Leave feedback about my tail lights. Cool or not?

the bov im using is a greddy type s knock off. im having trouble with it. it makes the worst whistle ever, when adjusted softer, the duration lasts too long and when i stiffen it up it is slow to respond, causing turbo chatter. any one have problems with these cheap valves?
also, whats the best base timing to run on a det?

I always recommend to buy good BOV's or use the stock avenir or GTiR one. The cheap ones are not machined well so the valve does not move freely in the body. i think if you take it apart and clean it up, and or see if its bad machining you might be able to fix it.

swap looks good, glad you dont have overly large IC piping like most.

Thanks. Your probably right, I had to take it apart as soon as I got it and put Wasserstein in it to make it actualy seal. But it always made this horrible whistle squeel. I plan on buying a greddy rs with the hose adapter.
I have my timing set at 15*, what's the best setting for a det?

No numbers. I don't even know where a dyno is around here. I still need to get my exhaust done. I have a 3" downpipe going into factory exhaust. Stang20, you are correct. I called a tech at jwt and he said they only advance when tuning for cams.
I ordered a genuine greddy rs bov with a Recirc adapter, so that should get rid of one annoying sound. The throw out bearing is getting silenced when I can afford a light weight flywheel. Other than that it runs good.

Good work! Since you asked, I'm not too sure about the tail lights. They don't look bad though, I just prefer the stock look. But it makes yours unique. I like your vent gauge a lot! BOV recirc hose looks like it might be getting pinched closed a bit in the first pic, but maybe that's just the angle of the pic. And don't worry about not getting a flywheel...seems like most Avenirs were automatic, so you probably would have gotten a flexplate if anything, which would have ended up as a paperweight.

What's on your dash in the driver's side corner? Looks like a fish/depth finder from a boat!

i got my greddy rs yesterday. its so much nicer to drive.

thanks for the positive critisism nelson. i have a a few sets of tails so i may change back. i would really like to get a set of edm outside tail lenses to match with my painted trunk lenses. your right about may bov hose rubbing aon the coil. this is because the welder i took it to ignored my telmarks. this also made the hose i used to mockup a little short. i need to get a new one.

My eBay BOV is Poo too, It will only blow off when I hit positive pressure. If I rev or shift while it's spooling it surges... bah

Yea, the difference was obvious when the rs came in. The greddy has a 40mm valve wher as the eBay crap had about a 25mm one, the stroke is about 2x as much, and it has a machined seal, while the other had a rubber o-ring. Now there's no chatter at all and no stupid squeal.

I installed a 3" exhaust from tru bends the other day. It's all manderal bent with a flowmaster muffler. It has a nice deep tone, but it's kinda loud. I saw apex I has a cable operated exhaust restricter valve. Do you think this could quiet it down when I want to not sound like a jackass?

Did you get the resonator option with the exhaust? It should bring it down to berable levels.
