i have seen whats involved i just wanna comfirm some stuff. What size is that big bolt? 22mm? and once you take that bolt off is it a pain in the butt removing it cause of the bushing in the back. i was looking for some pics but i wanted know what have some people have done to remove the control arm without damaging it. thanks

i think thats the size i used when i did my bushings but i dont remember exactly. if you are not changing the front bushing just take the bracket its bolted to off of the car with the 3 bolts, the ball joint bolt under the spindle, and the 2 bolts holding the plate on the back. if you are not pressing the back bushing off, you will have to hack at it to get it off. fronts are also pressed in so thats why i say just leave the big nut and take the 3 bolts off. i used a cut off wheel to get the back bushing off.

ok im just trying to take the control arm from a donor G20 so i want them intact so all i need to do is unscrew the 3 bolts and remove the bolt from the lower ball-joint (thats underneath the spindle) then just pull forward right? just want to confirm and thanks for the info

you will also have to take the 2 that hold the back bushing to the body and it will drop right out. so total you will have the ball joint nut, the 3 bolts on the front part of the arm and the 2 that hold the plate on. they are long and have some pressure holding them on so you will probably need an impact or breaker bar to break em loose.

They only tough part is separating the ball joint from the spindle.

^^ But once you pull big hammer from the trunk and smash the sucker......

Don't forget you will need to get an alignment done after replacement. I had to.
