    Opening Headlights

    Few questions on opening headlights..
So from what I have read all you do is turn the oven to 200 and pop the headlights for a good 10-20 mins? Do they come off pretty easily? and also when want to close them back up do they just snap back on or will I have to put them in the oven again?

    Thanks

i baked my driver side dual. R.I.P. dual just make sure you put it on a cookie sheet. and make sure the rack is as low as it can go so the oven coils are not close to the plastic. also yeah 200F for 10 mins. remember you can always put it in longer. but you can't take back melted plastic housing. i learned the hard way.

no take everything off of it that you can without breaking anything. Taking the bulb out helps the inside to heat up as well and heat to escape easily out of the light hole. You want the heat to be distributed as well as possible. but being nervous is good cause then you wont bake it. when i wasn't nervous that's when i baked mine to long. you'll be fine now.

I did 215 for about 8-10 minutes and had no issues, just keep an eye on it. You're gonna have to heat it up again to put the two halfs back together.

I put 2 bricks in my oven and set them in one at a time. I think I did 250* IIRC and I went for 10 minute first, wasn't enough, 5 more minutes, then 5 more minutes. That one came apart smoothly.
Second one I just threw it in for 20 minutes and it pulled apart great.
Make to remove all your brackets for the JDM wiring, bulbs, wires, etc. And the 6 or 8 (cant remember) metal clips on the glass lens BEFORE you bake them.
Begin pulling on the lens carefully but strong. The glue will begin to stretch.
(Just realized you said regular headlights not JDM duals.... FAIL)
Cut thru the glue with your screwdriver as to not get any on the shroud or glass.
    Then your good to go.

Adjust certain aspects of write up to usdm junk
