i spent $650 on coilovers. my front end seemed to bouncy probably because everything was 10 years old and had 100k on it. i daily drive my car with about 4 inch ground clearance with very few issues. there are budget coilovers available that will cost only slightly more than buying all the components seperately.

ive learned that via DJing, bout a crappy piece of hardware as a ghetto version of what most of the radio guys use, one year later, had to just end up buying the big thing, but im soo glad i did now

What is available for shocks/struts on 2001s?
I did an autozone check and they only had one brand I assume was just a generic for almost $200 a corner.
Looks and sounds like I also will soon need upper mounts since I am starting to get some clunking.

two popular ones are kyb gr-2's and kyb agx's/ the gr-2's are basically a stock replacement and are 15% firmer and the agx's have adjustable firmness.

the gr-2's cost around $200 for all four and the agx's cost around $400 for all four.

there are others out there like bilsteins and koni (reds, and yellows if you can find them) but it sounds like you'd best be suited for gr-2s

I assume any place that sells these brands will have them?
