    Gianna: The DJ2 Projeck

First off, yes i intentionally Misspelled project. I dont know why but it looked cool to me.

My First progress thread, Don't know what I'm doing but let's start with the stats:

    1995 G20T
DJ2 in color and I want to keep it. Initially I wanted to change it, then I thought, not everyone can rock emerald green. Plus it's grown on me.
She has 130k as of now. She was a gift to me from my father in law a year and a half ago in order for me to get rid of my 07 GSXR 600.

My bike was stolen a couple weeks later with only 830 miles on her !!!! Whether he planned that or not i'll never know but insurance was nice so I could care less about my bike now that I've got a car. And what's kind of cool is this is the car that my wife owned when her and I were dating in high school. Now it's mine!

My first car was a 1994 SER.

I never got to do anything to her (engine) but keep her running since the guy who sold her to me was a butt pirate and everything fell apart. Long story short, everything I couldn't do to that B13, will be done to this P10.

how did I come up with Gianna? Well everyone knows to name their vehicle to have that conection to take care of you when you need it and a name to yell when something goes bad. I like to keep the name along with something related to the vehicle. My B13 since she was an SER I named her "seranade", my bike was called "gixxy", and for some reason Gianna just came to me with this car. Then i googled the name meaning:

Gianna is a short Italian female form of the name John, which is Hebrew for "God is gracious".

Kind of prefect for it to me in my eyes.
So, right off the bat the things that were wrong:

    Power Antenna didn't go up
Stereo was the same one from 16 years ago so it's outdated and CD payer didn't work,
All speakers had torn woofers so anything with bass sucked donkey bolas.
    Trunk Struts are done
Trunk wouldn't pop open from switch
    Seats are torn
Driver side back seatbelt wouldn't retract.
    A/C didn't work
Driver side window goes up slow. . . . both in hot and cold weather.
Rear defroster works every now and again.
The intake duct was torn and held together with a ziptie and electrical tape.

Engine runs sound and everything else is good. She was well taken care of.

So the first mod the cup holder

then my cousin and I figured out how to put the power antenna on that i bought from ebay. The previous one couldn't get up (LOL everyones favorite line)

and i put the amber corners i bought off greatsaves99

    Bought some stickers of Cavern

Then I didn't do anything to her since i was in credit card debt trying to stay afloat and that sucks from being in the military. But low and behold good things come to those who wait and after completing a 7 month deployment i washed her

I finally got tint put on her

then put wheels off the car i sold my sister in law. (it was an 05 Sentra Special Edition)

had them painted and cleaned of curb rash and straighened out.

then wrapped them in toyo proxy 4's 205/40/16

And this is how she looks now

No plans on engine mods since she's automatic. When the tranny goes, I'm looking into the 5 spd swap, possibly the 6 speed (if my credit card allows me)
I miss driving a 5 spd, My cousin is letting me drive his 91 300zx until someone buys it.

Oh and I just shipped her off to HAWAII!

    sucky thing is right when i got to the shipping place i noticed a rubber ring by my car, i look under the wheel well and find this;

WTF! it's cool, i'm saving up to get new suspension. But with my limited knowledge on coilovers and springs and all that, i'm scared to try coilovers. but i don't want to spend half of what i would on coils on combination AGX/eibach springs.

I don't really have a plan on what i want to get her later on, I was thinking FSTB, RSTB, Under sway bars, splash guards, upgrade the stereo and speaker system, figure out why she chokes/surges at idle in gear (me thinks EGR is getting stuck?) just replaced the serpentine belts and the power seat switch. I think this is it but like any progress thread i'll update with pics when the next thing is done. I really hope my wheels don't get jacked on the way to hawaii. Aloha20t been on the look out for it lol!

Hope you all enjoy it and any feedback/input is appreciated. (both negative and positive)

Nice car. I had those wheels on my p10 before I think they fit the car really well. Keep it clean, and i would recommend a set of coilovers later on. On your door jam it has your paint code i believe. Its either dj2 or dp0.

This is a bummer since I shipped my car yesterday. but the VIN, doesn't have dj2 or dp0. It says cp0. That the 4th, 5th and 6th spots on it.

Your looking in the wrong place. Check the VIN plate on the firewall in the engine compartment. Your color code is listed on the tag, it is not part of the VIN number itself.

Dang I thought I could get away with looking at the one on my insurance lol. Looks like this answer will have to wait till I get to hawaii or someone else with the same color verifies it.

    Lol thanks blackwater!

Yeah I tried it's stuck there oh well. Progress threads are all about nor only progress but interest right? So when gnetters see a DJ2 thread and look inside to see whatever color mine is lol at least I drew them in. Like fish in a barrel! Not saying that anyone here is a fish . . . In a barrel.

dayum! that thing looks clean to me, SD is a good spot to buy cars from... great weather and the people usually take of their cars. Interior Pics Please!

What ever color it is it looks good man, i like the sentra wheels but at stock height the 40 series tires makes your car look a lil akward.... i know sooner or later it will get lowered anyways.

Thanks! But it wasn't bought in SD. She grew up in NORCAL where I am originally from. ( central valley) and you don't want to see the interior, at least not until I fix the rips in the front seats. Lol
