Has anyone fixed the "readiness monitors" issue?

This may be in the wrong sub-forum, but I've been through every thread I could find on this issue and no one ever posted what happened... if they had to junk their cars, or sell them, or were actually able to get the System Readiness Test to work and pass smog

Going to try this when I get a chance, I guess my CEL should come on if someone just cleared the codes.

I know people have even replaced their ECU's and it didn't help at all... Would swapping out the motor do anything?

    Figured the link would help

My car has "system readiness monitors" that will not ready up... so it will not pass smog

Look at the chart I posted.... From what I saw it is a fairly common problem with the 96 and 97 G20

Which readiness tests are not completing? As you've probably seen in the article you linked, there are several. Each one monitors a different emissions system on the vehicle, and will require a different route of diagnosis and repair. We definitely need some more info in order to help you out.

Guess the best case is to find a smog station that also has a dyno.

Tried to get into the acceptance program that will pay up to $500 in smog repair costs but they wont accept anyone for 3 months and I have a 2 month operating permit.

Think it would work on jacks if I got the A/C repaired? i know you need A/C to go through the cycles anyway.
