Has anyone fixed the "readiness monitors" issue?
This may be in the wrong sub-forum, but I've been through every thread I could find on this issue and no one ever posted what happened... if they had to junk their cars, or sell them, or were actually able to get the System Readiness Test to work and pass smog
Going to try this when I get a chance, I guess my CEL should come on if someone just cleared the codes.
I know people have even replaced their ECU's and it didn't help at all... Would swapping out the motor do anything?
you are not at all specific enough for anyone to remotlely begin to help you with your problem.
if you can state exactly what you need help with im sure with my knowladge and others here we can point you in the right direction . but from what you state no one has base knowlage of what you have and wht you are trying to do so offer up some info that can help us help you
Dude, your bed is a car..
Figured the link would help
My car has "system readiness monitors" that will not ready up... so it will not pass smog
Look at the chart I posted.... From what I saw it is a fairly common problem with the 96 and 97 G20
Which readiness tests are not completing? As you've probably seen in the article you linked, there are several. Each one monitors a different emissions system on the vehicle, and will require a different route of diagnosis and repair. We definitely need some more info in order to help you out.

Think it would work on jacks if I got the A/C repaired? i know you need A/C to go through the cycles anyway.
i think he is talking about the drive patterns needed to get monitors ready...
cody had the long drawn out method, but i dont know it...
maybe he will chime in
