I found it sitting on my oil filter while I was checking how bad my P/S leak was. I couldn't find where it broke off of. Anyone have an idea?

it kinda looks like the rubber boot on one of the plugs on the oil pump or powersteering pump.

hahaha so no one knows what it really is, i'll keep looking of course because i'm thinking foul play from the dealership. but i guess it's not that important of a piece so i can do without it i guess. . .

No that is what it is. It's normally installed on the underside of your valve cover. I'm not kidding.

At first glance it looks like the same thing. But now I stare at your picks it I'm not 100% sure. I have a high port. Not sure if that thing is the same in the low ports.
