Warning Old Threads!

Ha, I was on an aquarium site where I spend the other half of my time while on the computer. And I was looking through an old thread and say this when I went to go to another page... I found it.. entertaining.



I figured we could use this to keep from bumping those ancient threads that dont need to be... revived.

most big forums have this

on teamliquid you get banned
on planted forums you get a warning depending on the situation

what kind of aquarium do you have? that's been my new hobby as of recently

In some situations it is better to post in an old thread (example: a fix for a specific problem). This consolidates information and makes searching the forum easier. However, old for sale threads that get bumped with nonsense posts or "is it still fs" when the item has long been sold are going to get locked.

Thats a good point that needs to be made. Anyone who creates a FS thread should close it once the item(s) are sold. Or maybe wait until the buyer acknowledges receiving the item(s) with one final post.

Slim, I always try to close my old FS threads, I would hate to have them bumped if it was sold....

And to all, I thought this was funny more than anything. Reason being this club (the aquarium club ARC) used to be so relaxed and fun to waste time on the boards, now its just a bunch of witch hunting nazis

OT here but I hate it when sellers remove the selling price from old threads. It gives you an idea of fair value.
