wow. just turned the bass boost up from 1 to 2. whatever that means, the stock bose sounds pretty sweet. much better bottom end. although the bass is basically cranked up...

Threw in my old Alpine CDE-9845 from my old NX. Stock Bose speakers with a 10" Kicker setup in the trunk. Gonna upgrade the factory tweeters within the next few days.

...what's cool about this guy is it's totally modular, so you can upgrade various features as you want/need them. The stock Bose sounded fine but I've never picked up a solder gun in my life so doing the AUX-add project posted here was out of the question. The only iPod control I've seen cooler than what JVC has going would be that Microsoft magic my bro has in his Ford Focus. I've got a nicer screen than him though, plus mine is detachable which is exclusive to JVC for double-DIN units if I'm not mistaken.

new setup in the p10. apline 9884 head unit, same toxic audio 6x5s front and rear with toxic tweeters running off stock clarion amps, and 6 8" neo tangband woofers in the trunk in a enclosure custom built by me ported through the rear deck lid

I just installed my system.. Kenwood DNX-9140 head unit, Soundstream (OLDSKOOL) 644s, Xtant 121m (sub amp), 1 RF Prime Dual VC 10", Kicker 2 way rears, CDT HD-63 "braxil" fronts with Polk DB 1001 tweets as imaging. Ran all new speaker wires, ect. on a side note I just install a Viper 350+, with a trunk pop (I have a 99). I still have to install the 508D (prox) sensor and the 611T laching relay to turn the Prox sensor on and off remotely. Only issues Is the Ero spec 170mm door speakers had to be mounted outside the panel.. and they can easily be hit. No grills avail. for the CDT "braxil".. so I have to make custom grills.

rear speakers - 6.5" pioneer tri-axle 300 watt peak
front speakers - 4x6 pioneer tri-axle 190 watt peak (i know peak dosnt really matter but i forget the rms)
all stock speaker wire is unhooked and running 12 AWG monster speaker wire
2 batterys
4 AWG kicker power wire
--now for the real goods--
rockford fosgate 1000bd running about 1200 rms watts
kicker 8 AWG being used as subwoofer wireing
2 rockford fosgate p3 12" punch's in a nice ported box
so far i have gotten a reading of up to 131 decibels
