Went from a Magnaflow 3" can to model #17159 2.5" offset on both ends. I can say its a night and day difference! At cruising speeds and light throttle it sounds the same if not quieter than my stock G20, though at idle its just as loud as the Magnaflow can...low rumble. WOT = slight raspy treble note, but I can hear the engine a lot more than before, and I've always loved the noise our engines make when they get loud so I'll call that a win.
From a performance standpoint, SOTP feel on light throttle accelerates better than before (similar to bumping up timing to 19* on an N/A motor), WOT feels the same.
Hopefully the flapper won't rattle as I've read in other posts, but all things said this accomplished exactly what I wanted with a bonus of everyday acceleration around town a bit easier than before.
