pathfinder 05 6 disc radio question with factory 6 disc cd changer

so i had a 6 disc cd changer under the pax front seat, and on the stock bose press cd and it goes to it.
my question is do any of you that have the path radio still have the additional 6 disc cd changer working and how?

the pathfinder headunit doesnt have controls for the external 6 disc. i am sure it could be made to work but i dont see the point.

Was going for 12 disc since it was there already.

you would have to solder it onto one of the boards like the aux addition to the stock headunit.

so i was the lucky one to buy a pathfinder radio that the cd changer part keeps spitting out discs so i put that aside and now have a 06 altima ser radio which also has a sat button on the front meaning i have another input i could use plus i like this more because same rds sound but also has pause mute button

I will go to the car tonight and try it fully but i think with this i can still have the 6cd changer working also.

For reference the altima one i got was 50 on craigs 06 altima ser

but on ebay i see some have built in aux input so i have to pop that bottom right cap off and see what i might be able to do

Pathy unit play mp3 cd's. So 12 discs full of mp3's is alot of music.

I love the pathfinder unit but IPOD or MP3 player hookup is where it's at now. I don't even own one CD anymore.

it's not really that i use cd's that much it's just that i have the changer in the car so just putting it to use rather then throw it away.

I'm adding a bluetooth module and calling it a day.

i cant find any fix for fixing the pathy radio every time i put a cd in it tries to read then says check disk and returns it. i tried using a cd lense cleaner but no luck

in the end the 06 altima is plug and play but wider then the pathfinder face so its a no go without trimming the surrounding plastic to get a flush nice fit.
