i bought some r134a leak detector die and a uv light but its not sucking it into the system. my compressor wont turn on at all. do i need to go buy some r134A refrigerant and put that in first to make the a/c kick in? right now where i live its about 100 degrees everyday and i daily drive my p10. i need a/c badddd
when we fixed mine, we also replaced the valves that go in the fittings. compressor wont turn on if no pressure in the lines. the leak detector should have pressure in it to put the dye in.

when i put the leak detector on it nothing happened.
so for the dye i got to work i need freon in the system. wish kragen woulda told me that earlier. i hope its just a hose. the thing on the side of the a/c compressor (i think its the part with the bearings) i can spin it by hand so i know its not seized. my mom said she will probably bring me some freon tomorrow. she wants my a/c fixed since i drive the baby around so shes helping me fix it
