    Member from SR20 forums with a 99 G20t

So I've been into fwd SR cars for a few years now. Started with a base model B13 for $600 and found a full GTi-R swap the same week. Had that car for awhile and I left the whole DD project car scene. Now I picked up a 99 G20t from my friend for a steal and all it needs is a new clutch, a tune and paint/body work. He told me about the few issues I'll run into with the car which seems very fair for the price but I'm having a issue with the brake lights. I just got the car tonight and hooked up the battery and realized it was dead. I hooked up my battery charger and now I notice the brake lights just stay on. I'm guessing the switch on the brake pedal went bad and since the brake lights are on its taking forever to charge the battery enough to crank the car. I even pulled the taillights fuse from under the hood and they're still on. Is their a taillights fuse in the dashboard fuse box? I'm missing the cover so I can't tell which one it is of there is anyone. Does anyone have any advice for me for this problem?

check the wiring harness in the trunk. You might have some cut wires touching each other. It's a fairly common problem. Usually it's an issue with lights not working but who knows.

I don't own a G20, but if I did, it would be a p11. Stay sexy my friends.

yeah check the harness in the boot lid that goes into the trunk..its possible that 1 of the + wires is split & hitting the signal wire fro the brakes showing + & lgihting them up

unplug your brake light switch, see if it goes out. i WOULD say that it sounds like the brakelight circuit is getting power from a short to the tail light circuit, BUT there should be no power to that ckt when the cars off. did you pull the tail light fuse or the stop light fuse?

The switch on the brake pedal that turns the brakes on and off when you press the brakes was broken. No short circuit or split wires touching in the trunk or harness.
