Fuel system cleaner

I heard fuel system cleaner is a no go for a sr20 engine. Is that true and if so why?

Nissan released some bulletins warning owners not to use it and it's not necessary. Just use some higher octane gas here and there if you want to keep your valves free of carbon buildup.

I used it and it's fine. Lucas, Chevron, etc...

i use the Chevron stuff when i go on a road trip. still want to try the Lucas.

I use seafoam and it worked fine. got better gas milage too

i have tried most of the name brands an some off brands and never had any issues i would say most of all stay away from cheap low quality fuels and you should be fine... also keepin up on your oil changes should help keep deposits down as well
