Before everyone gets mad b/c keyless entry subjects have been covered a billion times...i've scoured and searched a million times and none of the posts or threads solve my problem. Here it is: I wanted to replace my old keyless entry remote because it's quite worn and just doesn't look all that great anymore. Luckily, one of my friend's brothers works at an infiniti dealership, and he came out of work one day with a couple of keyless entry remotes. (BTW, can anyone with a new G tell me what their keyless remotes look like?) The one he came out with looked far different than the one i got...it's much skinnier, and comes with four rubber buttons w/ no infiniti logo or anything. Anyways, i assumed that maybe if i just used the reprogramming instructions i found on here, that i could program the new remote to my cars P10 keyless entry system. However, that failed. I assumed simply that it doesn't work because the new key, designed for a new model infiniti is programmed differently than what was designed for my '95 G. Can anyone confirm this? Or else, solve my problem, and help me make the remote function properly?
