LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Two of Hollywood's most infamous villains joined forces over the weekend to scare moviegoers and shock studio executives with a surprisingly strong No. 1 opening at the North American box office.
"Freddy Vs. Jason," a low-budget teen thriller, sold an estimated $36.4 million worth of tickets in its first three days since opening on Aug. 15, according to studio estimates issued on Sunday. Going into the weekend, industry observers had forecast a bow in the $20 million range.
I guess I wasn't the only one ......
this will be a close contender for the MTV BEST FIGHT SCENE with NEO vs 100 Agent Smiths

Yo I was so excited about this movie.....I loved Freddy and Jason growing up and their havent been any movies that even came close to theirs....
SO here I go Friday night....pick up my girl and we get to the theather at 11:15 for the 11:45...SOLD OUT while we stand in line...so we go fo the 12:15.....go in and the line is about a mile long.....
At this point Im ready to kil the next 15 year old I see running around....
WE end up switchin tickets for the 12:45 show and get a good spot for that line...
ANYWAYZ the movie was very dissapointing. I dunno if IM just gettin old or wut but I was doing more laughing then anything else during this thing....the acting was mediocre and so was everything else.
i remember playing either a jason or freddy game on nintendo. i think it was freddy and i thought that was a scary game. but if you really wanna play some scary games, play the "silent hill" games on PS2. now that is some scary crap!Originally posted by atomic-G

You saw F Vs. J and expected acting prowess..the acting was mediocre
So anyways I loved this! I have been wanting to see this film for a little over 13 years and it delivered were it counted, there fight was a amazing bloody battle which is all I wanted. It could have lasted longer but beggers can't be choosers......

IM just saying it was real hard to take any of these B-rated kids serious.....I guess I was just expecting too much here....plus I was with my ex so tHat prob. affected my whole overall mood.....lol

I absolutely loved it! It was kind of cheesy at some parts but it was overall a really good scary movie. I say scary movie because its as good as it can get for a scary movie. I am a teenage (18 in 2 days!) so that might be why I liked it. But, I say go and see it, you'll have a good time.

IN Miami you have to go to an early show if you want to hear any dialog in a movie ... I swear since I moved here from Philly/South Jersey area .. I have never seen more people in a movie theatre with bad manners:
1. Get to the movie on time .. dont go asking me 10 mins into the movie " are those seats taken dogg ? "
2. Turn you M*$&$&F*(&ng cell phone off !!! That goes double to the Wanne Be in the army NEXTEL Walkie Talkie users .... *** BEEP *** where you at Jose ? **** BEEP in the movie theatre dogg ****
3. Leave those little kids and babies home, why are going to get mad at a baby trying to sleep through SWAT ? and mess up my movie ..... get a babysitter !!!
4. If you are having a fight wih your girl or EX GIRL leave that shit at home ... if you did bang here best friend, tape it and show it as a preview else we dont want to here about it in the movie .....
