    Stock tranny vs. Turbo???

    Ok, so I'm steadily planning my turbo set-up. My question is this:

    Will my stock tranny hold up to roughly 300-350whp? Keep in mind, it's an AT, not manual. Or, should I plan on having some work done by Level Ten first?

    I've heard people say "yes", and I've heard people say "no". I'd like some input from those of you who are pushing/have pushed 300+whp with your G20...

    I want to do things right, yet still have to watch my pennies here and there... So, a tranny upgrade would simply push my install date to like March. But shit, that's worth waiting for to me!

    Your going to be pushing the very limit with the auto tranny, and for what your gonna spend on having Level Ten trick that sucker out, you might as well swap in an LSD 5 speed and get a PAR gearset.

    If your going that much with HP, have them work on the tranny...best to be safe than sorry.

    The stock tranny can only hold 250hp. Im in the same situation like you, however I will keep the power down around 200hp and then plan from there. Most likely I will just level ten the G, sometime down or when there is signs of breakdown.

    What kind of set up are you going to put in, becuase 300-350 hp means alot of nice parts and a hell of alot of $$$$.
