    Mark's (markbuts3) 1994 Nissan Primera eGT

G20.net: How, when & why did you first acquire your Nissan Primera?
Markbuts3: This is my second P10 eGT. The first one I neglected and damaged the engine due to it running low on oil. This one is going to be well maintained. I’ve had my current one for about 15 months. I got the original one as it has decent performance and five doors (we were planning on having kids); after I killed it I drove numerous cars but came back to the Primera eventually.

G20.net: What were your original plans for the car and have they changed since?
Markbuts3: I was going to leave it as standard at first seeing as I have a young son and his needs tend to consume what spare cash I do have. I don't have definite plans; I just keep finding new things to do to it.

G20.net: What performance modifications have you made to your car?
Markbuts3: I have fitted a SSAutochrome header, Blitz SUS intake, el cheapo Ebay muffler and advanced the timing to 17°.

G20.net: Do you have any dyno numbers?
Markbuts3: I only have one from when I had the stock muffler and a K&N filter on. I'm not sure on the accuracy of it though as the torque figure is very low . The figures were 120whp @ 6900rpm and 98wtq @ 5100rpm. I need to get another one done to see how things are progressing.

G20.net: What suspension modifications have you made to the car?
Markbuts3: I have D2 coilovers fitted and later model 16” wheels. The wheels are from a P11 GTLE, I also have a set of P11 GTSE wheels. I’m sure everyone is aware of my problems with the coilovers and they are soon to be sorted out, I’m looking forward to a smooth ride once again.

G20.net: Any cosmetic modifications to the exterior?
Markbuts3: I have tinted the rear lights and side repeaters with Nite Shades spray tint, fitted a phase II G20 grille and removed the Primera badges from the rear. I now just have a large Infiniti emblem from a G35 in the centre, it confuses the cops here in the UK. Another cosmetic mod is the JDM folding mirrors, although they look identical to the original ones.

    G20.net: How about the interior?
Markbuts3: I have a Nardi carbon fibre effect steering wheel, short shifter with chrome knob and a cup/coin holder from a Taurus fitted. I have nothing else planned yet, although I’ll probably find something to do.

G20.net: Have you made any upgrades to the stock sound system?
Markbuts3: I have only replaced the stock cassette HU with a MP3 capable CD unit. I need to change the speakers as they aren’t sounding too healthy.

G20.net: Any future modifications we should look out for?
Markbuts3: I’m currently working on a custom stainless steel enclosed intake system and have plans to fabricate front and rear STBs. I’m also starting to hoard mods, they need to be fitted. I have a set of Thermoblok spacers to fit and a de-cat pipe. I’d like to get these fitted before I go to a dyno again.

G20.net: How and when did you first find G20.net and how has this site benefited you?
Markbuts3: I found the site shortly after I bought my current Primera. I have learnt a lot from the site, especially when it comes to turbo systems. I’d love to go that route but with insurance and petrol prices as they are in the UK I don’t see it as a viable option. Hopefully I’ve been able to communicate some of my knowledge to other G20.net members in my time here as well. It’s unfortunate that I can’t make it to any of your meets as I’d love to meet some of the guys I’ve got to know on here.

G20.net: Any last comments you would like to make?
Markbuts3: A massive thanks to everyone who has helped me out with parts, services and advice both in the US, UK and elsewhere. I’m sure I’ll need more assistance in the future.

Yea, the engine bay does need sprucing up a bit G. It will be done eventually

enkei54...The cup holder has never been used, but the coin holder is very handy...

TheBlazinAzn...I bet there are more red tops in the US than here with the amount that get imported. No 5 door hatches though I bet...

    Black95G20...Thanks m8

Mr. Clean...Yea I would have liked to have seen it too when he pulled my gf over. I wouldn't have told him what it was, then he'd have a little trouble writing the ticket...

    Everyone else....thanks a lot guys
