Umm... I only did it because someone was curious if it fit or not. I was going to add the VE head to the sentra anyways, so I was also curious what it was going to look like for giggles.

If you knew me (sr20forum), you would know that the only stickers on my car are the tags on my plates . I really don't care what my car looks like as long as it goes fast on the track.

Or just remove the VVL sticker

edit - this is what the engine bay normally looks like.

And here is where the car got most of its miles at...

    lololol... Your a funny guy.

Anyway.. If I could get my hands on a VE VC I would no doubt put it on my DE motor. Why?.. The oil separator is built into the VC. That alone is worth it. It makes bolting up a nice turbo a bit easier.

I would of course pull the VVL badge off it and sell it to a Honda guy.

True.. because the VE's have spray bars so the VC's for them has the dimples in the baffling to accommodate them.

To bad the 00+ USDM roller VC's didn't have the the dimples. It would make upgrading the VC easier.

tell him that it gives him an extra 30 hp from having teh badge and he'd defenatly pay $100+ for a sticker.

Yeah, I saw that from Tokes post, I just wanted to clarify that the VE VC did fit and ran fine on my car for the 2 days it was on there... I too would have liked to run it, if the dang things didn't cost so much.

Doesn't matter now since the sentra is gone and the 240 is now in the garage

Quick question..I wanted to replace my Infiniti valve cover with my JDM Nissan valve cover, but it's missing a lot of emissions stuff. Does all that stuff have to be capped off? It's missing the port that has a hose that goes to the intake..the PCV and the black box in the front. Any ideas would be appreciated..or if you would like I make my own thread let me know.

    Thank you!!

RR motor is smoother, more low end power ish.... less mod happy... meaning it wont make as much overall power as say a 94-99 Low port will, but it will make more bottom end and usually better fuel mileage.

I would love to do a custom RR head setup on a DE-T one day and get some super aggressive roller cams with short duration and high lift

I think if there were more cam options for the RR motor, then it would be a more popular engine choice. Using the older style intake manifold and some bigger cams, then it would do pretty good...

All these posts are quite confusing and doesnt look like some questions got answered.

As far as a RR motor, why not just look for the oil filter.. if its near the strut tower it is NON RR.
If oil filter is on the back of the block it IS A RR motor.

Now for the Roller/Rocker arms. They have a rolling pin(Two part rocker arm with a rolling pin, vs. one part rocker on non RR motor) on them which results in smoother high RPM operation..IE: wont fly off and break from over revving.
If any of you have ever broke a rocker arm from a misshift or over rev, you know what im talking about.
As for the JDM valve cover on a US motor, im not sure, just line up the ports visually, see what lines up. and EGR block off plates can be made.

Sorry for the thread revival, but wanted to clear some things up.
