Hey to all in the forum. Just wanted to jump in here and introduce myself. My name is Paul Brouillette and I live in Lafayette, LA. I just got my G last week and have already gotten alot of info from here. I got the idea to come here from my people at ZCAR.com. I also own a 1977 Datsun 280Z, a 1968 Datsun Roadster and a 1972 Datsun 510 with a Ka24de engine in it. Anyway, the car I bought is a really clean '93 model with 105000 miles on it. The engine was blown so I am in the process of replacing it with a junkyard engine. Of course this is turning out to be more exoensive than expected but I want to do it right. I was going to rplace the seals and gaskets at first but then I realised I needed motor mounts, rack boots, clutch set, tune up. I want to do it right the first time but it's kinda scary not even knowing if the junkyard engine will run. I figured it looked good inside the head and these are really durable engines if trated right. I am using ALL Nissan/Infiniti parts. I painted my valve cover basecoat clearcoat pearl bugundy and am really cleaning up the interior of the engine bay. I will post pix later.
