did u place the air intake temperature sensor in the vacinity of your intake? if u dont do this ur CEL will come on and stay on. (this is the smaller sensor that you had to unplug when installing ur intake)

for the check engine use this http://www.troublecodes.net/infiniti/ your car isn't OBD II so follow the first part of the instructions. make sure your MAF and air temp sensor is plugged. if you dont know where to put the air temp sensor just tape it to the the Filter. thats how i have mine. and no problems. but you can always make a hole in the pipe and install the air temp sensor correctly. hope this helps. sorry i dont know anything about the overdrive.

A 1995 P10 is OBD-II. The reading and resetting of codes has been covered on here plenty of times...

You said you unplugged a connector off the bottom of the airbox and don't know where to plug it in. Is that still unplugged ?? Sounds like the IAT sensor, just remove it from the airbox and plug it in then cabletie it in the same vicinity of the filter...

Calm down man, you're fine. It's pretty normal for a CEL to come on when you put on intake/exhaust parts. The ECU is under the center console, on the inside of the car near the firewall. There is a small kick panel on the passnger side of the very front of the center console with one screw holding it on. Take that off, and you'll see the ECU behind it. Now follow these steps:
1. Turn your key to on (do not turn the car on, just to the on position)
2. There is a small screw under a piece of tape on the ECU. Use a flathead screwdriver and turn it clockwise until it stops.
3. Wait 2-5 seconds.
4. Turn the scew counterclockwise until it stops.
5. The check engine light will now flash and tell you what codes you have. It will have a series of long flashes followed by a series of short flashes. If you have 3 long flashes and 3 short flashes, the code would be 33, or 0303 (same thing).
6. Now repeat the process of turning the screw clockwise then counterclockwise, and the codes will be reset. If they don't come on again, you're fine.

Stick your head in the passenger footwell then look to the left, that very back section of plastic trim comes off to reveal the ECU.

Sounds like you did the correct procedure. Is the screw now in the same position as when you started ??
Our UK ECUs don't have the screw and we have to short a couple of wires in the consult port to get the codes....So I've never had to turn a screw for codes. Plenty of guys on here have though.
