    broke retainers on nx!

    where can i get new retainers cheap, missed a gear overrevved and crack,,ouch
    another question, one of the lobes on the stock cams got damaged , it's the cam in back if your facing the motor from the front of the car. Is that the intake or exhaust cam.

    well let's see, for some reason the nx does not have a rev limiter so when i shifted from second to thrird close to redline i missed and it shot past 8k

    The nx dose have a rev limiter. If you over rev the motor it will rev as high as it's forced to . You must have shifted into 2nd from the top of third? I did the same thing in my first sr20 powered car. I bent three valves and shattered all but one rocker arm. It was a sad sight. I ended up swapping out the motor with a DET then I tore the old one apart to check out the damage.

    my brother did that once
    in his first g
    he got it up over 9k
    he got lucky tho
    ntn broke

    the highest ever got mine was bout 7800 rpms
    was not by accident tho

    i am pretty sure they do
    i think its 7750 for 5 spd p10s

    no, i went to shift into 3rd rather quickly and missed and nailed the gas quickly before it was in. that's when it just stopped

    i thing the one near the firewall is the intake cam
    i am guessing
    logic - closer to intake mani
    Hopefully someone will tell you for sure

    The rev limit is 7500, but the dash tacho is inaccurate....

    Rear cam is intake....

    and other p10.5s ive driven redline at 7.5
    limit at 7750

    Yea I thought mine revved higher until I used consult on the laptop and saw the max reading...

    my tach must be way off than because i've yet to hit the limiter and i'ts gone as far up as 8 and yesterday it went well over 8 and it not bounce at all!

    Are you running a jwt ecu by any chance? Have you disabled the rev limiter? That seems very weird that you were able to rev to the point of causing damage with out being in gear.

    not that i know of,, i bought the car off some kid in rochester a couple of weeks ago. From what i could tell the only mod done to the car was a shift knob
