Thanks for your clear response. Does the 2000 G20T come with a stock resonator? If yes, I presume I have to buy the resonator also since the stock also has one to reduce the noise, correct? I currently only need a muffler to replace my leaking one. What would you suggest from a value/performance standpoint?
    1. Replace the leaking stock muffler with the dynomax vt 2.25" muffler or
    2. Replace the stock exhaust with the Mandrel catback exhaust and resonator
The cost difference between the two options is about $250 and I dont mind spending the money if the performance difference is huge! Also, would the labor be high since they wont directly fit and need welding?

My g20 is a 99. Could i install a stock 00-01 sentra cat-back? or is the piping different. I am just looking for a stock bolt-on setup. "No welding required please!"

I'm not 100% on it, but I am pretty sure they're different. A Fujitsubo is about $900 imported. Or, you could just get a shop to weld up a resonator, muffler, and some piping. You'll probably end up spending around $300-450 that way, and get a good system because it's all custom.

    Hi
My name is Frode, and I live in Norway. I'm new at G20.net and my English is a bit rusty, however I hope you guys will help anyway
I learned a lot reading the topic, but I still have some questions.

Its a lot info about the SR20 engine, unfortunately i got the GA16DE in my G20 P10. And the info about exhaust on this engine is quite small.

    Someone said earlier:

Removing/Upgrading your Cat: The G20 was made with a very unrestrictive
Cat, so in most cases upgrading this part of the exhaust system is not necessary.
Unless you are Turbo, or hate mother nature, you have no reason for removing your
Cat and installing a Test Pipe. In-fact, this can be very harmful to an N/A vehicle, so
save yourself the time and money, and obnoxiously loud exhaust and leave it be!

Is i ment for the GA16 also? I dont care for mother nature too be honest, but is it pointless too remove the cat?, if it is I'll keep it.

And I have search on ebay for a heather too my GA16, and people in Norway says that the heather form Sentra 1.6L fits the Primera 1.6L engine, do anyone thinks that this one will fit and have an effect on my engine with some other exhaust mods??

Thanks for a great forum, love too read all the good stuff

Cool Here's one I used several times on different cars!

Go to a Midis Muffler Shop. They can (if you ask) fit a "Mandrel Bent," pipe for a lot less than you may expect, and then their "Lifetime Warranty" kicks in. I had them split my Mini exaust (to get a "Side Pipe look), and they really did a great job!Plus you can ask if the stock is 1", and your thinking turbo, SC, or NO2 they'll TIG weld 1.25 / 1.5 / 2" pipes! It's just another job for them, but for you serious "Motor Heads," you can't beat a "Mandrel Bent Pipe," because theres no restrictions as on some "Custom Exausts." Good Luck to you all, and remember "The Optimist hits the Gas, while the pesimist hits the brakes! So Down shift, and start to learn about engine breaking (having the ehgine slow you down). I passed a Trooper at 128 MPH, and rather than hitting the brakes I continued (as it was going to take him some time to turn around, and pursue) I never hit the brakes, but down shifted, and let the engine slow me, and moved over to the far right lane... I saw his Mars Lights for a while behind me ON, then they went off! He just couldn't figure out what cat triggered his unit!

This is probably a ridiculous question, but i'll ask anyways:
My G20 was rattling today, so I looked under it and found the exhaust had rusted off of the ($249) stock muffler. If i were to put a whole new exhaust in, would this fit? http://tinyurl.com/7f6ycf2

Need help. I was planning on upgrading my turbo cars exaust to 3inch. with a straight threw muffler, no cat, and the longest resonator i can fit, posibly even two. I will like to have a nice sound but dont want anything too loud and obnoxious. So could anyone chime in on this setup i just listed and let me know if it would be too loud with the 3in? muffler is magnaflow 14835 which i read is good for keeping noise down.
