how quick is a g20 compared to other cars? ive never really driven anything besides a g20 and like slower stuff so how does it compare to like a saab or bmw or something? not looking for smartass comments bc im stupid either haha

faster than some, slower than most.
In my honest opinion and based on all of the cars I've driven/owned, my 2000 Infiniti G20t is better (in all aspects) than:
1. 1982 Chevrolet Cavalier
2. 1986 Chevrolet Cavalier
3. 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta
4. 1996 Nissan Altima - my old altima is a lot more roomier but slower IMO
I know its not must of a comparison to these old Chevy's.
are saabs much quicker? jw theres a kid at school with a 95 and acts like hes the baddest kid on the planet.

As for the G being faster than Mercedes or BMW models it's probably faster than a E36 318i or a W202 C220 or C230 NA.
i have i/h/e and 5 speed, i can sorta keep up with single cam hondas. get blown away by b16 hatches. i could barley keep up with a turbo diesel trunk one time. ahhhhh the g20 is slow... i think the g20 is mostly comparable to LS integras, haha unless they are built or boosted. the g20 is slow, reliable, and looks like a 10. still love it

i've been able to beat a friends '94 camaro auto, nissan 1.8 sentras, crx's. i've also been completely blown away by what you would expect to be blown away by such as e36 m3s, spec-v's (off the line we're even but after that its no match), ludes, gt stangs, z28s, but i was actually able to keep up with my friends z28 auto (but he had some probs with it so no joy)

Those saabs are surprisingly gutless for a non na car. In my area (not sure about all of yours) a saab like that only runs about 3k-3500 for a descent saab 9-5 turbo. Drive your parents car to school and it will probably beat it, if it's relatively new. I was driving my girlfriends moms 2003 325 and I among afew other cars that was one thing I beat in it and it was stock just used the manumatic.
Yeah they really are gutless. So are all the BMW 325 and 525. 184hp is way too low especially considering the price. The Mercedes C240 is another example, its 168 or so horsepower is rediculous for a >$30K car. The moral of this story: don't buy a bottom model entry level European luxury sedan.
The BMW is a surprise for it's lack of power I've never driven the benz or gone against one so I dont know. Most import cars are gutless until you get into the special ones, M's, AMG's, etc... Unless you buy a car like a porsche or something import thats meant to go fast. They weigh to much what can you expect? And their motors really aren't that great especially in reliability. When they break I hope you got deep pockets as well. Thats what I like about infiniti, go cheap and pretend it's a nissan.

Mercedes are heavy but their transmissions are amazing. My mom's E350 is almost two tons and has only 270hp but its 7 speed auto keeps up with my 30hp stronger, 300lb lighter car... And the reliability of the european imports is only faulted in the electronics really, the more features, the more that can go wrong.
I dunno about that one Chris..When I drove my G20 for about a week or two and then drove my 98 LS I can reallllyy feel the difference..at first I thought my G20 was about as fast as my Integra, but when I got back into my Integra..I think I was wrong..anybody have any ideas of a G20 vs. a 95-98 Eagle Talon..? I've seen one versus a P11 and lets say..it was an upset for the Talon..don't ask how I know, but I do
Edit: My LS had a short ram intake..but I still think my G20 wouldn't stand much of a chance becaus of the weight difference. The G is a bit on the hefty side.
well i've beat camaro's before in my p10... but of course its a lot slower then a Chrysler 300C SRT-8.. hahahah I've driven them a couple nights shits fast as heck.... 6.1L V8 425hp. and to think a golf GTI tried to mess with me in the 300. lol i showed him.....
wait... i know the g20 is faster then a 2.0 jetta, automatic. +1 for the g20 hahahah

The problem with german cars is even if they're rear wheel drive and between 15 and 30 hp more, they power to weight totally evens the field. An S2000, on the other hand, I wouldn't be so confident about getting past from an on ramp. But you know, Honda people are so polite, I'm sure they'll let you by.
