Jeez, ever since the VE swap, I've been redlining it constantly, for three reasons. One, there's no power on the low cams (need to do some timing troubleshooting and get my Calum ECU). Two, there's a ton of power above 6500 rpm. Three, it sounds awesome! I'm a fan of the WAI, header, and stock exhaust sound.
Three things. . .
1) Oil change. . .I have have a PURELATOR PURE ONE oil filter and ROYAL PURPLE (5w30) running in the motor now.
2) Changed my windshield wiper blades. . .spent $30 on Michelin wipers. . .
3) Put air in my front tires. . .
What I plan to do later today:
Get a carwash. . .time to get rid of the bird dookie. . .and also installing my AEM CAI. . . oww!
^_^

My Feedback
I wasn't sure which side went to which, so at first I had the 19 on the DS and the 21 on the PS. Then, later on, I switched 'em both since the 21 was hitting the windshield molding on the PS.
There shouldn't be an issue if they were both the same length, right?
OH yeah, neither did I have time to get the CAI installed nor a car wash. . .busy schedule = teh lose! My butt dyno says that perhaps the ROYAL PURPLE is good for the motor.
The 20" was on the driver's side and the 19" was on the passenger's side on mine.
You know how it goes down on the west coast. Matter fact, I heard Dave was getting them on the daewoo.
The fluctuation is only like +/-250rpm, I had the timing advanced to 19° then I dropped it to 15° when the cams were installed. Car has idled like that from the get go.
I'll take it along with the extra pull.![]()

Disconnected the battery, took out the ECU, and put it into hibernation for the next two months.![]()
