Haven't driven mine for a week. It's not legal to be on the road at the moment, the MOT has run out and it also runs out of road tax (VED) on Monday.

MOT is about $100 once I have done the work so it will actually pass and the tax is about $200 for 6 months or $360 for 12 months.

I lowered mine. Stock shocks (seemed to be in good shape when I pulled them out), Tein S-Techs, and Epsentra front mounts. Lovin' the look and feel of it.

Failed to redo my crossmember bolts (broke a tap in the process) and failed to get my seatbelt to retract properly. All in all, a productive day.

Started mine today too, first time in a week and it fired on the first flick of the key
Ran it for a few minutes, drove up and down the drive a few times and worked the handbrake on and off a few times.

The battery died on me again due to lack of driving. Jumped it and drove for about 60 minutes to recharge the battery.

Need to drive the G20t more often...

In the netherlands the road tax is $ 705 per year, i always pay every 3 months wich is around 235 bucks.

I got to thinkin, if the USA had something like that, a lot of people wouldnt be driving their cars around... come to think of it, that might be a good thing.... i kno our '67 Chevy Impala(all original i might add) wouldnt be road worthy, i think, according to what i have read on the MOT standards.

    Thats just my thought

Well not the tax (you quoted Odin's post about the tax ) but the MOT would yea. It would take a lot of the 'beaters' off the roads in the US I bet.

The MOT is annual and it's illegal to drive a car without one. The tax can be bought every 6 months or annually and to get the tax disc you need to show the MOT certificate and insurance certificate.

I thought ours was bad enough.
Cars after 2001 are banded based on their CO2 emissions in g/km
    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring...le/DG_10012524
Even the most polluting of them for which they added a new band in 2006 is still $100 less than yours.

Btw, the Nissans in band G are the...
    Petrol: X-Trail 2.5, 350Z and Murano 3.6
Diesel: Primastar 2.5DCi, Pathfinder 2.5DCi and the Patrol 30TDI and 3.0DI.

They came up with another tax here, due in 2008. Every new car will be taxed on fuel consumption and co2 emissions. They call it slurptax (big cars with high fuel consumption) A new Nissan Patrol will cost € 10450 more based on this.

So you buy a patrol for say € 32521, then you get BPM (tax too) € 27632 and now the slurptax too € 10450. That patrol will have a pricetag now of € 70603.

    Currently showing 80202 miles
    - I changed the oil (200 miles over), filled up the washer fluid, checked all the fluids and replaced the stock headlight and driving light bulbs with Sylvania Silverstars. There is a mail-in rebate on them until January 31, 2008. Quite a difference from the original bulbs.
