    OEM struts vs AGX

I want to get OEM rears and fronts.

Rears are too pricey though, AGX seems to be way cheaper but i very concerned about a quality of ride with AGX.

I heard that they stiffer and not as good as NEW OEM ones.

The car is not lowered and not going to be, i will reuse OEM springs at this time also. Has anyone any experience please share. Thanks

AGX's are WAY better than OEM. The AGX's are adjustable and you can set them to meet your driving style. I had them on both of my 200sx's and I loved them. It's the KYB GR2's that I'd stay away from. But then again, to each his own.

You don't need the AGX (adjustables) just get some GR-2.
They are an OEM replacement, and will ride like stock.

    here are the best prices:

    Buy the shocks at rockauto:

    $53.99 each

use my discount code at rock auto and get 5% off.

...and buy the struts at classic garage:

I appreciate quick answer, here is my concern though.

I do like how the G20 handles, thats the only reason i'm keeping it and rebuilding it. The OEM struts were designed to give such ride to the car, while aftermarket you got to adjust. I understand this might be a benefit to those who needs it, but i dont.

I need to know how are they comparing to OEM ones, are they harsher, are they wear out faster, what are they? How much stiffer they are? Can i have them adjust to same as OEM ride quality?

Diavolo I sure appreciate your response, thanks for the links, i will definatly look into it, the price is great too

you can set them to have the same stiffness as stock.
I believe the rears can even go softer than stock, but it's not like it will make major differences. I'd stick with GR-2s if you are keeping everything else the same

    AGX > OEM

AGX on setting 1 is same stiffness as stock +/- 5% stiffness.

    I heart my AGX's

Are they harsh and wear out faster: No.
What are they: Better than stock.
How much stiffer: Depends on what you have them set at.
Adjust to be as smooth as OEM: Yes.

    +1

Exactly just get the GR-2's you WILL NOT notice much of a difference compared to stock. It will still be a nice ride. Don't worry so much about it, you'll be happy.

Don't waste your money on adjustables.

So which is cheaper and durable of the 2? AGX or GR-2?

GR-2 are less expensive. Both are just as durable.

The reason i'm concerned about KYB, i bought them for my Jaguar once and they were absolutely horroble, POS!

But if you say they are fine then i go for it

No need to worry there. AGX = Lifetime warranty. Especially since you're not lowering the car.

    Everything else has been covered.

You mentioned you liked the handling. There is a gray area between stock and compromising. AGX and tires would be a great combination for a super stock ride.
